Chapter 17

*Mal's POV*

It has been 4 months since Sam's party. 4 months since I have talked to my bestfriend and her boyfriend, the one I used to be obsessed with. Wow I used to be really wierd. I am living with Cam in North Carolina still and college is doing really good. I got a full scholarship to North Carolina for lacrosse and Cam does homeschool.

It turns out Hayes is just taking online classes instead of going to PSU so they got an apartment closer to MU. 

OW! SHAT! 

I just stepped on a frickin lego!

"Cam get in here!"

"Is everything okay?" I was rolling on the ground.

"I stepped in a lego! How old are you?" Cam just started laughing and sat on the floor next to me.

I was still holding my foot and he put his finger under my chin and kissed me. 

"Is everything okay? Who died?" He giggled and said "Nothing... You're just so pretty when you're pissed off." I gave him the ' your so cheesy ' look and got up to pack for our game this weekend. We are playing in Maryland but I still have no idea who we are playing. Dumbass over there won't tell me.

*Sam's POV*

I was in my last class of the day before the weekend and I stil have no idea who we are playing!

"Class dismissed"

We are supposed to get our schedule today for our games so I run to my truck and race home.

On the way home I blare music and finally get there. I see Hayes' car in the parking lot so I hope he got the mail because I really don't want to. I got to the mailbox and it was empty. He got it!

I run up to the room and unlock the door. Hayes is on the other side of the room looking through the mail and reading a piece of paper. That's it! I run up to him and jump on his back and kiss him on the cheek. 

"Well someones happy to see who they are playing!"

"Yesss tell meeee!!!" I begged.

He looked at the paper and put it behind his back.

"Well I guess you'll find out when you get there!

*Hayes POV*

I looked at the paper and saw that Sam was playing Malory's team and I want to make it a surprise.

She had a frown on her face and I felt a little bad. I started to walk up to her and she turned around. I tried to put my arms around her waist and before I could she ran away screaming "not until you tell me!" I ran after and just barely caught up to her before she could leave the building. I used to catch up to her alot faster than that! Wow, either i'm out of shape or Sam is just getting faster than me!

"I'm just getting faster than you." I was thinking out loud. I leaned in for a kiss but she tried to get away again. I didn't let her this time though.

"Fine" She started to lean in but instead she jumped on my back yelling "Giddy up horsey! Back to the stables! I gotta pee!" I about peed myself laughing at what she just said! 

I took her back up to the apartment and set her down. She ran straight to the bathroom on her tip toes trying to hold it in. God she's so adorable. 

I sat on the couch and Sam came out in a sports bra and baggy sweatpants that say HAYES on the but.

"My name really brings out the size of your a**"

"HAYES!!" She screamed throwing a pillow at me.

"That;\'s my name, don't wear it out!"

"You're so cheesy..." I gave her a big smile after that and she rolled her eyes. We layed on the couch and she fell asleep. That was the perfect time to text Cam.

*No POV*

H: Hayes 

C: Cam

H: Hey cam, you didn't tell Mal right?

C: No, I can't wait for them to see each other! Are you getting there tomorrow or the day of the game?

H: How about we just let them see each other on the field. Sam knows that Mal got a lacrosse scholarship in North Carolina b ut she doesn't know which college there.

C: Okay, I can't wait dude.

H: Same. I see you Saturday.

*Sam's POV*

I woke up and I saw Hayes texting someone. I looked at the clock and it was 1:45 am. WHo would he be talking to at this early in the morning and why did he wait until I was asleep?

"Who's that?" I asked him in my raspy exhausted voice. He smiled. 

"It was Cam. We haven't talked in a while and we were just catching up." 

"Oh that's cool" Right after I said that I fell asleep. 

I heard Hayes giggle and felf him take me and out me on ourbed. I opened my eyes and saw him take up his shirt and shorts so he was just in his boxers.

He got in bed and put his arm around me.

"Goodnight babe" He kissed my neck and pulled me closer.

"Goodnight Hayes" I smiled and fell asleep.
