Narrator's POV

Our storytelling begins in a delightful little village within the Mushroom Kingdom known as Toad Town. A peaceful place where its inhabitants are living wonderful, yet daily carefree lives~...

Going about their days involves shopping, cleaning, working, and just simply having a
roam around the little town~...And here we
see a wandering, tiny toad heading towards his mushroom-shaped home, possibly returning from elementary school quite a bit early, if I might add?...

Entering through the front doors of his house, the little toad drops his backpack and other belongings onto the diamond tiled floor, and gave a gleeful smile before speaking.

"Mom, I'm home!~"

The little toad exclaims cheerfully, as he rushes on over towards his mother who was currently cooking lunch for the whole family.

Hearing the familiar voice of her son, she quickly turns around to see her little toad standing right in front of her, happily giving his mother a gentle, yet quick hug before looking up at her.

"Well, hi there sweetie!~Home early today, huh?"

She curiously replies to the little toad, as she continues to prepare a delicious meal for everyone.

"Ms. Ingletoad just wouldn't stop talking. Blah blah blaaaaaah! So I snuck out and came
home!~"

The little toad explained truthfully, as he used his hands to emphasize the continuous talking
of his teacher...Oh, so my suspicions were correct...He ditched school...

Having suddenly realized the words
that had escaped from her son's mouth,
the mother toad quickly turned herself back around and places her hands onto her hips, giving a small, yet disappointed glare towards her son before speaking.

"You naughty little scamp! You'll never grow up into a fine Toad with such bad behavior!"

The mother scolded her mischievous,
little child, as she then shook her head in disapproval before heading back to cooking dinner.

The little toad could only roll his
eyes at his mother's scolding words,
as he then waddled his way on over towards the dinner table and pouted.

"Fiiiiiiiine, Mom, whatever...So, is
dinner ready yet?"

The little toad begrudgingly asked his mother,
as his attention went from looking straight
up at the kitchens countertop, before staring back towards his mother while quipping
one of his brows questioningly.

"Yes, dear, it is. But call your dad over
before we eat."

His mother replied as she was getting ready to take the pot off from the stoves heat.

"Okay!~"

And with that said, the little toad took off in just a matter of seconds, racing his way down the many halls of his home to reach the bedroom that his parents resided in.

Opening the door to the master bedroom, the little toad hurriedly called out to his father.

"DAAAAAAD! Dinner's ready!~"

The little toad exclaimed with excitement, as he could no longer wait to begin chowing down on his mother's delicious cooking~...

The little toad patiently waited for any sort of response from his father, but he didn't hear a single peep from him?...

How odd? Was his father asleep this whole entire time? The little toad assumes...

The little toad then knocks onto the wooden door before opening it up a little further, just enough to peer his head inside.
