Late that night I snuck out of bed and drove to Lydia's house, she quickly got into my jeep, in a jet black dress, black gloves, and black flats. "What are you wearing?" I asked her. She sighed. "Black helps one to remain in the shadows," she said as if I should already know. I didn't argue, it would only waist time, and she looked pretty hot. All I brought were gloves and a flash drive.
When we got to the precinct, there were no cars. I parked a few blocks away so my jeep wouldn't be seen on camera. The whole place had an tight, automatic security system, which I've broken into before. I took out the works badge I took from my dad and used it to get pass the back entrance doors that didn't have cameras. "Shouldn't there be cameras back here?" Lydia asked. I just shook my head and whispered "let's not question it, just be thankful." When we got in, we had to be careful to avoid the moving cameras inside. It was pretty much like mission impossible. We tucked, ducked, and rolled all around trying to make sure they didn't catch us. When we finally made it to the evidence locker, I quickly swiped the badge and we snuck in. Lydia pointed out the computer the suspects used to locate the house they were going to hit. I ran over to it and put on my gloves so I wouldn't leave prints. I put in my flash drive and began to download all the software they used. Anything from documents to pictures. It would take a while for it to load. So Lydia and I waited.
"So you think Collin is a suspect" she said, resurfacing the horrible topic.
"Yes I do, why else would he have been in the house that had been robbed and out side to police station?"
"His cat!" She stated, "looking for his cat"
"He never had hair on his clothes"
"Lent rollers"
"He was parked right by my car"
"Admiring its vantage"
"He insulted her!"
"Her?"
At that point in the argument someone had made there way into the precinct. I quickly grabbed the computer, covering it's light with my arms, and hide behind the next shelf of evidence with Lydia. I heard the door open and close slowly. The intruder snuck over to the shelf the computer was sitting on. The person growled lowly (not like a werewolf) and left as quickly as they came.
"They were looking for the computer, it must be one of them" Lydia said, sighing in relief. I nodded as I watched the download complete. "It's ready, let's get out of here." We didn't waist anytime. We Mission-Impossibled out of there and ran all the way back to the car, laugh the whole time. It was like an adrenaline rush. When we made it to the car Lydia smiled at me and said, "why don't we head over to the dinner down the street, I'm not ready to go home." I smiled happily as nodded. We walked down the street and into the dinner and sat down.
After Lydia and I ate our burgers as fires, which I was shocked she ordered in the first place, we got to talking.
"So that guy who came for the computer must've really needed it." She mentioned. I nodded, "yeah, I can't imagine all the evidence on here." Lydia didn't seem as excited as I was about it and brought up something else. "But that guy.. He came into the evidence room knowing what he was looking for. He wouldn't have known exactly where it was unless..."
"Unless he saw it when it was being bagged in the first place."
