Marianna POV

Last night me and cam stayed on the phone all night. we was flirting and laughing and he's just so different than his friends. almost his whole squad has been locked up, some of them don't even go to school. Cam's older brother locked up now and two of his friends just got out

Cam do bad shit but he ain't Trynna be no dumb ass locked up and shit. I can see him walking towards the wrong stuff sometimes,but it's not my places to be there for him. that's some shit his girlfriend should be doing but she probably to busy cheating.

I'm not even gone lie I think I got a crush on him. which is so wrong cuzz I know he has a girlfriend,but for some reason I can't help it.

"Toonk!" I hear Persha call me out of my thoughts,because it's time to go home. This girl can't even just let me think.I tell her bye and walk away. As I'm walking I see Cam.

"Hey cam" I say

"Hey did you tell anybody about our phone convo ?" he ask

"No why ?" I ask

"Just checking" he tells me and walks away after saying bye. I go the bus stop and I see mike finna leave

"Mike!" I call out

"What" he says back

"You still mad at me?" I say now infront of him

"Nah im good why u want a ride home?" he ask

"Nah let's go chill at yo house" I tell him I do not wanna go home at all my mama there on visit. I know imma have to go back eventually but right now is not the time.

"So yo moms must be home on visit"

Mike ask while we layed up in his bed watching flavor of love reruns.

Mike has been knowing me for a little minute now he's like my Bestfriend who I occasionally cuddle and kiss. He wants more than that but I can't give it to him.

"Yea speaking of which it's getting late u should probably take me home before she leaves"

I walk in the house to see my little brother and dad sitting on the couch with my mom. she doesn't look good but that's become a regular.

"Hey toonka baby"

my mom came up to me hugging me.

"Hey ma"

I say half way hugging her back. She pulls away and smiles I start heading up to my room until she stops me.

"Marianna I know I'm not your favorite person right now but give me a break I'm trying" she says "A break???" I ask very loud.

"MARIANNA THAT IS STILL YOUR MOTHER" My dad yells

"I'm sooooo sorry dad I'm sorry that she can't get her shit together, I'm sorry that my little brother doesn't have a mommy to talk to every night like most little boys,im sorry tha-"

"That's enough" my mom says slapping me. I feel like she don't have any right to put her mother fucking hands on me,so automatically retaliate. now we are in a full out fight call me disrespectful but I really don't care at this point. my dad's pulling me off her and my brother is screaming

"MARI GET OFF MOMMY , GET OFF MOMMY" my brother says crying so I just stop.

"That's who you fell in love with a junkie daddy" I say so angry that I'm crying.

"Marquise you gone let that little ungrateful hoe say that?" she asks my dad.

"Marianna you gotta leave" my daddy tells me.

"Oh okay I see that's yo first love and she can do what she wants right? I mean hell she can be a drug addict, a horrible mom, a horrible wife, and on top of that she can fight me and call me out my name. oh okay I see I love you too daddy" I say crying but don't get me wrong my daddy ain't no bitch it's just something about my mom that's he love way to much. I go upstairs and pack 2 pair of shoes plus the ones on my feet and 4 outfits because thats all I could fit. I got my tooth brush and phone. I walk down stairs and find my dad comforting my mom.

"I hope y'all happy" I say walking out

"Toonka don't leave me" Marcus says

"Baby I'll be back I promise" I tell him and we do our secret hand shake ,then I leave.

I called everybody and they mama and they not answering so Idont know where to go. I waiting on the buss I'm just finna get on and ride that MF until the put me off.

"Somebody looks like they need help" I hear cam's voice I look up and he's in his car talking to me

"Yea I got kicked out" I tell him

"Get in"

The car ride was silent but when we got to his house it wasn't that quite but it wasn't loud his oldest brother had music playing while he smoked

"Y'all come roll one with me" he tells us cam says in a minute and he leads me to his room. I put my bag down. He has a bathroom in his room.

"Can I change in there" I say pointing to the bathroom

"You can change right here if you want" he says laughing

"Shut up" I say walking in the bathroom

"So what happened toonka , you get put out, what u didn't get all a's on yo report card?" he says Trynna be funny
