Mythic Academy (Book 1)

Chapter 10

Guys I an extremely sorry I haven't updated in so long I just have had so many tests and quizzes that I have been terribly busy. I am really sorry that I haven't been updating in so long. I hope you enjoy and that this chapter is going to be extra long! Oh and I will be making a quiz so you can figure out which character you are and so I can get to know my readers! Bye.

Chapter 10~

We walk outside of the Academy to the Training grounds. We stand with the rest of the class in a group. The professor walked up to us and asks or should I say yells at us to split up into two teams, Witches vs. Vampires.  We split up into two teams.

"Ok today's Self Defense class is Capture the Flag. You will use Paintball guns for defense and the first team to find the other team's flag wins." He explains.

He sets fifty to one hundred paint ball guns. As soon as he blows his whistle all of us burst from our sides to the center of the field. I grab the first gun I see then move back quickly shooting at every vampire I can only me and Kelsey are left. I shoot at the very last vampire and hit him in the face which makes him even more mad than he already was. He lets his fangs go out slowly. The professor speaks up.

"Caleb calm down, its just a game." He says to the now aggravated teen.

I laugh a little. I run past Kelsey and the other vampires swiftly without them noticing and grab the flag, waving it up in the air. The game is over and we all walk back to our dorms to get our books for the next lesson.

I take the keys out of my pockets when I get to the dorm and unlock the door. I walk in.

I grab my History of the Elements book, a pen and paper and stuff them in my bag and walk out locking the door behind me. Running down the stairs and opening the door to outside I run across campus and into the classes building. I look at my map. It says that room 295 is the elements class. I turn the doorknob and walk in. I walk to the back of the room answer sit by a red head with a band of freckles across her cheeks and nose. She looks at me as I sit down. She then taps me on rhetoric shoulder I look at her. I notice she has piercing emerald green eyes. The girl finally speaks after a awkward silence.

"Hi my name is Carley." She says.

"Amanda, nice to meet you." I reply.

"Are you a witch?" She asks me.

I am shocked she asked me a question like this.

"I'm half witch half vampire." I say. "What are you?" I ask.

"I am a fire elemental." She replies.

"Why are you here in the class for elements?" She asks.

"Oh that's easy, each witch can control one element. I haven't fond my element yet." I reply.

"Oh I hope it is earth because me and my friends have a group of the four elements and we still need earth to complete our circle." She says.

"That sounds like fun to me. If I do I would love to join." I say.

Class starts and we are told to open our books to the beginning.
