Chapter 12

At lunch
Ronnie sat down at a table filled with her friends.
Ronnie: Hey Guys!
Betty: Hey Ronnie
Ronnie noticed Archie glaring and he looked away when he got caught.
Ronnie: Hey Archie....
Archie didn't say anything and stayed silent the whole time and when Ronnie tried to speak again he still was quiet. The whole table was silent for a while.
Nessa: Awkward
Toni: Nessa?! Shut up!
Cheryl: Well is anyone gonna start a conversation or is the awkward silence going to continue.
Betty: Oh I forgot to tell you guys. My parents hired me to work at the Register!
Sweet pea: Congratulations Sweetheart! Sweet pea kissed Betty on the cheek and she blushed.
Kevin: Congratulations Betty!
Betty: Thank you
The awkward silence comes back and hits the air.
Cheryl: Well if no one else has anything to say then I want to invite you guys to my party next Friday.
Reggie: Didn't you just have a party, I don't know last week.
Cheryl: Yeah So?
Sweet pea: So why have another one when the one you had last week was horrible.
Cheryl: Well it was only horrible because you guys brought your drama to my house!!!
Cheryl and the others started arguing while Ronnie and Archie were silent.
Ronnie: Can I talk to you Archie?
Archie: I guess
They went to the tree where they broke up at.
( that's bad luck 😑 )
Ronnie: Listen Archie, we need to talk.
Archie: I can already tell this isn't gonna be good.
Ronnie: Look Archie, I'm sorry...
Archie has a confused look on his face and motions for Ronnie to continue.
Ronnie: I'm sorry for breaking up with you. Truth is... I regret it as soon as I left.
Archie: Ronnie...
Ronnie: I know you hate me right now but Archie, I wanted you to know that I still love you.
Archie: Ronnie listen....
Ronnie: I want to get back together with you. Will you take me back?
Archie: No!
Ronnie stumbles back shocked and caught off guard, a surprised and hurt expression on her face.
Ronnie: What...?
Archie: I don't want to get back together with you Ronnie.
Ronnie: Why?!
Archie stared at her giving her the " Are you fucking kidding me right now?!" Face.
Archie: What do you mean " Why? " ?!
Archie: You broke up with me for a guy that doesn't even like you and you ask me why I
don't want to be with you?!
Ronnie: Well at least I broke up with you because I would rather do that then cheat on you which is what I would've done if Sweet pea didn't like me. I don't see what the problem is.
Archie just gave her the same face he gave her before.
Toni: Uh Oh...

Now everyone is staring and listening to their conversation.
Nessa: Well she does have a point.
Toni: Nessa, Shhhh!
Archie is now yelling at Ronnie clearly irritated and Angry.
Archie: Are you fucking kidding me Ronnie?!
Ronnie: Make up your mind Archie! Would you rather I cheated on you or break up with you?!
Archie: Either way it would have hurt me!
Ronnie: Well that's life Archie! You can't always get what you want.
Archie: You know what? Your right Ronnie you can't always get what you want so in reality you broke up with me and now your begging me to take you back.
Ronnie: I realized my mistake and I want you back!
Archie: What happened to " Your too nice Archie" ?!
Ronnies expression starts to soften and she starts to cry.
Ronnie: I've changed my mind Archie, I Love you! I want Varchie again.
Archie: You're too late Veronica because I've moved on from our breakup. So should you...
Ronnie felt her heart break as Archie left and she starts crying and sobbing. Betty and the girls going over to her trying to comfort her.
