Chapter three - Two moons part 1

Taehyung felt a little panicked as he passed by Namjoon. The older boy was accompanied by a friend whose subgender was unknown to him. 
 
Jungkook seemed quite spaced out, staring off towards where his own omega interest stood. Taehyung didn't find this oddity anyhow disconcerting, though how could Taehyung be so oblivious of the 'threat' his very friend could become. Indeed, the tall omega was very charming, intelligent and he was even often mistaken for alpha. 

As he was leading Kook back to the table, he pondered about how to excuse himself from their table so it wouldn't sound fishy. He racked his brain in a hurry, but a simple, “I’m gonna go buy us some drinks,” was the best he could come up with. 
 
Luckily the pub counter was situated right behind the corner where Jungkook couldn't see, so if he kept his bottom on the squishy leathery sofa, he wouldn't be able to see where Taehyung really went.

Sneaking out was not difficult.  

Simple, even, as no one who he knew tried to follow him. The only obstacles in the way were bystanders, who were spread across the whole club and not really paying attention besides the simple glances they threw at Taeyhung when he passed them. He slowly forced his way through the crowd, trying to not knock anyone over. Finally, he found a spot behind a Greek style column with Namjoon in his field of view. 

 
Feeling tense and all, a tight knot in his stomach - reluctant to go further, knowing it was his last chance before he'd officially turn into the predatory stalker kind of omega he wouldn't want to have anything in common with. He was hesitant to take a step, but did so none the less, going against his voice of reason. 

 
It took just a few seconds, carefully treading between a large group of omegas until he was finally there, awkwardly standing behind Namjoon. The other two paid him no mind, giddily talking about something. 

It hurt Taehyung when he saw Joon sweetly smile, the cute dimpled grin reminding him of what he desired to achieve with the rapper. He longed to make the other happy - knowing that he basically stripped himself of the right to court the latter weeks ago, when his irrational side took over his mind. 

It was not only the appearance that was drawing him to the other, but another reason was also the sweet scent that made him lose to his inner alpha.  The tall rapper wasn't walking trouble only to Taehyung, but also other subgenders were lured in by him as well. Both body and soul, Namjoon was a gifted beautiful being, which was hard to miss. A personality that someone common would never have, yet the rapper still managed to possess some characteristic traits alphas were born with. 

A few minutes of staring later, when the alpha still didn't have the guts to interrupt their conversation, Hoseok turned to the stranger, brows slightly furrowed in concern. 

 
"Why are you standing there like an oaf... " he questioned, shortly pausing before Namjoon glanced around at Taehyung behind him. "Do you know this guy, Joon?" 

 
The omega in question seemed to consider whether he's ever met him before. The study Namjoon did of the handsome stranger’s face didn’t last long, followed by a simple, “No.” 

 
At first his answer confused the heck out of Taehyung, but then it began to make sense as he pieced the fragments within his head together. The shock, or whatever it was, probably caused the memory loss omega must have gone through after that happened. 

 
There was a pretty good chance he either didn't remember the whole day it happened, or the majority of it. In that case, apologies might seem useless however, he was not about to give up. As planned, he'd provide proper justification and try to make up for his own wrongdoing. 

After all, he owed Joon at least that much for the 'accomplishment' he'd almost achieved. Once it would have happened it could not have been undone, and the horridness would have stayed a vile sin, forever to prey on his mind.
