I started to freak slightly, out of all the wolves there he is making me fight Rose. While hunting with Hinto, he told me that Rose was one of the best fighters in the pack. "Raven!" my father shouted. "w-what? I'm sorry, I was thinking about things" I stated a little embarrassed. My father sighed, "Do you accept the challenge? If you refuse then you must leave the pack". "I...... I refuse" I stated while standing a little straighter. I heard every wolf in the pack gasp. "What?" my father whispered as if he couldn't believe what he just heard.
"Everything that has ever gone wrong in my life was caused by you. My mom is dead because of you! My human is dead because instead of taking care of her, I was talking to you! I have no more home and I can't help care for all of the man cubs, because of you!", tears were streaming down my face as I yelled at him. I hadn't realized that I was yelling. I quickly turned and ran away from the pack. No one followed, and that was fine by me. I curled up on the ground and fell asleep almost immediately from exhaustion. Someone shook me awake, I was confused. It was Hinto, why was he here?
"Hinto? What are you doing here? The pack is back that way", I grumbled. I wanted my sleep. "I got exiled" he mumbled. I fully awake after hearing that. "Why were you exiled?" I asked confused. "I turned eighteen moons while alpha was gone. My challenge against him was today and I lost," he stated. "What about Cole? Today is when he turns eighteen moons." I said. "The alpha's offspring don't have to go through the challenge as the oldest of them will lead the pack when the alpha dies. It's like that to ensure that there is an heir in the pack," he said. "Tomorrow we are going back to see if they will take us back, I will fight my father if I have to" I stated. Hinto nodded and then we curled up together to sleep.
What do you think will happen? Will the pack accept them or turn them away? I'm going to try to publish the next chapter this week but it will be difficult due to my brother leaving home.
