Chapter 5:

Lilly sits up from the bed and walks over to the bathroom.

"I'm going to take a quick bath. Stay in the room so no one sees you." she says in that sweet, almost angelic voice of hers. She sounded calm for a person who just went through what happened last night, Adam realized.

"Sounds like a plan." Adam says with a smile, sitting on her bed, leaning against one of the poles on both sides of the end of her bed. Lilly smiles and walks into the bathroom with a fresh bath towel, closing the door behind her gently.

A few minutes later, Adam hears a knock on the door, which causes him to shoot up from his relaxed position on her bed, to deeply alert on his feet.

"Lilly, it's Mom. I'm going to work now, open the door so I can give you a hug." Sam says from the hallway. Adam jumps off the bed.

"Oh shit!" he whispers. Worry and a touch of panic occupy his voice. Adam runs over to Lilly's bathroom, trying to make as less noise as possible.

"Lilly, your mom is at your door, what should I do?" he whispers, hoping she heard him.

"Umm...I don't know. Let me think." she lets the panic in her voice slip a little bit, causing her voice to get higher than normal.

"Lilly? Are you in there?" her mom says in a curious, motherly voice. Sam had that same sweet-angel touch to her voice just like her daughter's but there was a bit more authority in it.

"Hurry, she wants to know if you're in here." he replies with worry in his voice..

"Ii got it! Come in here and hide in the shower. But wait for me to say come in." he waits a moment and hears the shower curtains raddle on the metal bar the rings hang on to. He feels his whole body loosen up with ease spreading throughout him.

"Come in." she whispers. He can tell that she is far away from the door since he could barely hear her with his ear pressed against it.

Adam opens the door slowly and runs into the walk-in shower, keeping his attention ahead of him. Sam opens Lilly's bedroom door seconds after the bathroom door locks. She peers around the room slowly, scanning for her fifteen year old daughter.

"Hmm... she must have already gone to school with Joshua." she says to herself, not knowing anything about what happened between them. She returns to face the door and leaves.

"Okay, she left. You can go back out now." Relief fills her voice, though she was aware that he was in the bathroom with her as she stands in the shower.

He walks out of the bathroom, sits on her bed, and slowly lays back.

Right after the bell for free period rang, Lilly ran up to Adam with a huge smile on her gorgeous face. She runs into him and he catches her like a speeding pullet, rapping his arms around her waist and she wraps her legs around his thighs. They immediately go into a long, passionate kiss and she is still smiling as their lips move in sync.

"Someone is extremely kissable and happy today." Adam teases as he slowly pulls away from the kiss. Lilly's eyes were still closed, as if she wanted more. Her eyes eventually open, a smile so big appearing on her face and eventually turns into a laugh.

"I am! You will never guess what next weekend is!" Lilly says in a high, content tone, excitement no even slightly hidden in her voice.

"What's next week?" he asks, going along with her, almost mocking her jokingly.

"PROM SILLY!" she squeals, pushing him on his arm, still suspended in the air by his arms. He hasn't heard her be this happy since a few nights ago.
