He isn't like the rest

An unwanted, unexspected suprise

Chapter 6:

It's an hour until prom starts. Adam's shiny red mustang pulls into Lilly's drive way. She watches him pull up and runs outside, holding up her long prom dress so she doesn't step on it with the rest of the dress slightly flowing in the wind.

"Adam! You're here!" she squeals, excitement rushing into her voice. Adam opens his car door and steps out wearing the black tux with a dark red under shirt Lilly bought him with her profits from a former babysitting job.

"You look amazing." they both say at the same time.

"Jinx!" Lilly says, keeping her squeal in her voice and adds the girly tone she uses. Adam chuckles at her reaction.

"Ready to go?" Adam asks Lilly with a boyish smile.

"Set!" Lilly says with that happy voice she has when she is excited. A large smile filled with excitement, anxious feelings and happy emotions possess it.

The both of them walk into the gym of their school, with their arms linked and the disco lights bouncing off of them. The first song that is played is 'On the Line' by Demi Lovato.

"Can I have this dance?" He smiles charmingly, extending his arm out to her.

"I thought you'd never ask." Lilly jokes with him, placing her hand in his like that night at the lake.

"I didn't want to say, I'm sorry for breaking us apart." Demi's angelic voice sang.

They dance for about two hours non-stop to different songs.

Joshua watches them throughout the entire night, with his friends by the punch bowl, stalking Lilly, waiting for her to leave Adam's side. He assumes Lilly will be in the same spot for a while so he walks into the restroom in the gym.

There is only one restroom and it is a boy and girl restroom but it has two stalls in it.

"I have to use the restroom babe. I will be right back." Lilly says before pecking Adam's lips and walks into the restroom.

When she walks out of the stall, she sees Joshua and he sees her.

"Well look who I found." Joshua says in that low, creepy voice of his. Lilly's eyes widen. Joshua takes a few steps towards her.

"Get the hell away from me Joshua." She says trying to sound tough and hide

her fear. Her eyes almost give her away though.

"What did you say to me?" he asks, an angered tone taking over his voice.

"You heard me." sass enters her voice. Joshua pins her to the restroom wall with his body pressed against hers, one of his hands holding her chest to the wall, the other around her neck.

"What did I tell you about sassing me?" he says in a fake calm voice, placing his finger under her chin but she slaps his hand.

"I will never listen to a word you ever say." Lilly snaps at him coldly. From her normal tones, it almost seemed unlikely that she could ever sound this cold.

Joshua slaps her as hard as he possibly can in the face.

"Now we can do this the hard way or the easy way, it's your choice." He quickly snaps the rage out of his

voice, replacing it with a creepy tone.

Lilly is sobbing and holding her cheek, tears streaming down her face quickly. Joshua slowly walks over to the door and locks it to make sure no one walks in, leaving Lilly unattended.

While his back is turned, Lilly runs into a stall and locks it. He quickly locks the door and runs over to the stall and bangs on the door, causing Lilly to sob louder, making her let out a terrified scream.

"That wasn't a very good choice Lilly." He yells through the door, letting anger rejoin his tone. He slips a long arm over the door and unlocks it.

"NO!" Lilly screams through her sobs holding the door shut by holding her body against it as hard as she can.

Joshua pushes the door open as hard as he can and pushes her off the door. He grabs her by the waist, lifting her in the air while she's kicking and screaming "HELP!" and weeping out terrified sobs.

"Your boyfriend isn't here to save you now." He snickers, feeling the powerof her kicks on his shin.

"ADAM! HELP ME!" She screams as loud as her lungs could get her. But no one heard her screams over the loud music.

"I wonder what is taking her so long." Adam says to his friend in a worried tone.

"He can't hear you. Nobody can." He chuckles. He sets her on the bathroom floor and pins her down.

"That's a hot dress you are wearing. Let's see if it comes off. Take it off and maybe I won't hurt you." He demands in that fake calm voice he has.

"NO!!!" Lilly screams at him, letting out loud sobs, not knowing what will happen next.

"Okay, then I guess you want to do this the hard way." Suddenly, he punches her in the faces so many times that she blacks out.

"I'm going to see if Lilly's okay." Adam says to his friend, now trying to hide the panic in his tone.

He walks into the bathroom to see her lying on the bathroom, knocked out. She has a black eye, small red marks on her chest and a hand print on her left cheek with a small scratch in the middle of it and her dress is under one of the sinks, all ruffled up into a ball. Her hair is all messed up and her strapless, black bra is undone, but on top of her chest, and her underwear crooked on her hips, like them were pulled down and quickly pulled up.

He could she was crying because her makeup was running down her cheeks and her lipstick is smeared all over her lips.

Adam takes off his jacket from his tux and covers her body with it. He picks her up, bridal style and runs out of the restroom, Lilly's head hanging off of his arm, bobbing as he runs like her feet.

He is weaving through the crowd, running into a few people now and then. When he gets to his car, he sets her in the back seat gently and speeds to his house.

Lilly's eyes flutter open and the first thing she sees is Adam at the foot of the bed she is laying on, watching her. Adam shoots up from his chair and runs to her side of the bed.

"Where am I?" she asks, noticing that she is in her bra and lace white underwear.

"Why am I not wearing clothes? What happened to my dress? Adam, did we sleep together?" Lilly asks, not sound like she had just woken up. She was rambling aimlessly, shooting out questions. Adam grabs her hand.

"No, we didn't sleep together. I took you to my house when I found you on the restroom floor after Joshua..." He paused and a single tear fell down his face.

"What did Joshua do?" she sat up, concerned, not knowing her bra was just sitting on her chest, when she sits up, it began to fall but she catches it.

"Whoa!" she exclaims, smiling like nothing happened. Adam leans into Lilly, to whisper his response in her ear, his voice scribbled.

"Oh my gosh..." she began to cry too, every part of the smile she just had disappeared off of her face. She walked quickly over to his mirror in the bathroom, pinning her bra to her chest with one hand. She placed one finger on her black eye, looking at her reflection. Then she ranover to Adam and cried and sobbed into his chest.

He wrapped his arms around her body. Adam felt his shirt getting soaked by her tears. He kissed her head and then stroked her black hair.

Lilly looks up to Adam, her face soaked from her salty tears.

"I'm not preg--" he cuts her off and pulls out a pregnancy test.

"We can only hope not." he says calmly as their eyes meet. Adam hooks her bra and hands her the package. Lilly leaves the comfort of his arms and walks into the bathroom, closing the door behind her.
