FATEFUL ENCOUNTER

───── ⋆⋅♚⋅⋆ ─────

HER EYES FLUTTER OPEN and the first thing she sets sight on is the same worn-down wooden ceiling which she wakes up to every day. It is dark due to no windows and the light not being switched on. If it wasn't for the clock on her bedside table, (y/n) wouldn't be able to tell even roughly what time it is.

She slowly sits up, gritting her teeth as she does so. The bed creaks as she escapes the warmth of the sheets and bearing the pain, she places her feet gently onto the tatty carpet.

As she descends down the stairs, she clutches onto the railing for support, knowing that if she let's go she is bound to fall the rest of the way down.

"Good morning (l/n)," Kurogiri greets like always from behind the bar. And then (y/n) sits at the stool waiting for her juice just like any other day.

"I'm going to go out," (y/n) announces as she places the now empty glass down and starts making her way towards the front door.

"Are you fine with those injuries of yours?" Kurogiri asks her and she simply nods without even looking at him.

"And in that attire?" He questions causing her to down at her red t-shirt and black shorts.

"It's better this way as it is bright out," She replies looking up at the cloudless blue sky through the open door. If she was seen by people in her normal attire, it would certainly arouse suspicion.

"At least put on this wig," Kurogiri sighs as he hands her a (random colour) haired wig.

"And these sunglasses, and this coat so you don't catch a cold."

She unwillingly grabs the wig and sunglasses then sends one last look at the two villains before closing the door.

"What is she? Your daughter?" Shigaraki rasps, almost annoyed that she ignored his existence that whole time.

(y/n) decides to walk instead of flying around so she doesn't have a repeat of yesterday. She travels out of the alleys and onto the main streets looking around at the hundreds of red strings flying around close by.

As she strolls down the footpath, any string the makes their way in front of her is cut. At least 10 pairs of soul mates had their fate ruined while the girl took her walk. Possibly more if she hadn't stopped.

A crowd of people surrounded the entrance to a street on the other side of the road. (y/n) wasn't curious nor did she care and she kept on walking until something pulled her backwards.

A red string. Hers.

Looking down at her red string, she saw that it was gently trying to pull her towards the crowd.
