【FOR YOU】

IT WAS BETTER THIS WAY. If she wasn't with them, they wouldn't be attacked. And to her, that's all that mattered anymore.
Maybe she was acting up herself for thinking Bakugou would try to follow but she couldn't take any chances. She created a net of strings, forbidding Compress from advancing any further, and then they both began to tumble downwards.
She couldn't look back. Seeing their faces would hurt too much. Bakugou's yells were stabbing into her yet she had to continue. Deep down, (y/n) had always known she would never be able to be a hero. It was never going to work considering her previous occupation. But did she care? Did she care if she didn't become a hero? If she could save those she loved, it was enough.
Could she say she loved her classmates? Aizawa? Midnight? Bakugou? Love was a strong word. It had only been a mere few months since she was with them. She couldn't tell if this love was nothing but an illusion because she had never been treated in that way. But if she couldn't return, there wasn't any point in wasting her thoughts over it. She wasn't going to let herself die either. There was still a chance to escape. She hadn't failed yet.
Bakugou was restless. He wanted to - no needed - to get to (y/n). He knew she wouldn't let herself be killed but at this rate, it wasn't looking good for her. He fumbled with the red string attaching him to Kirishima. But even though blood began trickling down his fingers, that string remained undamaged. It wouldn't budge.
"Don't Bakugou!" Iida bellowed. "It is too late! We cannot risk decreasing our speed!"
(y/n) stayed on the ground, her face closed with grimace. She had to bite her lip to prevent herself from crying out. She'd failed her landing and now her leg was warning her not to move it. But she couldn't stay down here for too long. Bakugou and the rest were out of sight now thanks to a small hero stopping Magne's second attack. So, she needed to get out of here. Making sure to escape in a different direction to her friends, (y/n) forcefully created more strings. She was on a time limit. Tears were streaming down her face, stained red to warn her. At this rate, the outcome was not looking good.
The strings pierced a nearby wall and she hurled herself into the air. She didn't need her legs if she was going to escape by flying. She made it halfway when she felt a hum erupt through her bones. Her quirk hadn't failed her yet but a force pulling her backward was stopping her from her journey out of there.
She couldn't strengthen her strings any more than this and they were beginning to fray. Seeing them thinning caused her to panic. If they ripped, she would go flying towards the villains and she wanted to go anywhere but there.
Just a little longer... (y/n) hoped, gritting her teeth as she watched the string that would decide her fate.
The spring cut off completely and (y/n)'s perception of time became distorted. She was sent drifting towards Shigaraki who was yet to disappear. The blue-haired villain didn't care about the girl for the moment, only All for One who he was about to leave behind. But it was hopeless as he fell behind the darkness.
