Everyday after that i went to the hospital to see Jake. Everyone had brought him 'Get Well' balloons, cards, teddy bears. It was very sweet of them. I just cant wait for him to wake up and see his face when he sees all of the get well stuff.
~ 3 Months Later ~
Ive been going to the hospital for about 3 months now. Still no improvement so I dont really know if he's getting better, or worse.
I was on my way to the hospital. Once I had got there I walked up to the front desk. The nurse that works there has gotten to know me pretty well.
"Maddison," She said "You cant keep coming here everyday."
"But why?" I asked
"Cause, Its just too much." She said
"Can I at least go in this once?" I asked putting my hands together.
"Yes, You may." She smiled at me
"Thank You!" I said then ran off to Jakes room.
I pulled a chair over like I normally do. I took his hand and looked at his face. The cast he had on his leg was gone, so was the neck brace. His chest was moving up and down from his slow breathing. I sat there like that, talking to him, for a good 10 minutes, till i felt a squeeze on my hand. I looked up at him, then back at our hands.
"Jake, if you can hear me, squeeze my hand." i said, he squeezed my hand.
"Nurse!" I yelled not letting go of his hand. Soon a nurse came rushing in.
"Yes? What is it?" She asked
"He can hear me." I said
"Thats impossible." She laughed
"No really watch!" I said. She looked at our hands waiting.
"Jake, squeeze my hand." I said again. Soon enough he squeezed it one more time, then very slowly, his eyes fluttered open. I looked at him and smiled, tears of joy rolling down my cheeks.
"Doctor!" the nurse yelled walking out of the room.
"Jake." I said
"Madds." He said smiling
"Your alive!" I bent down and put my arms around his neck
"I am." he laughed
"Your okay, I thought I was gonna loose you." I said pulling out of the hug
"Im never gonna leave. I'm always gonna be right here." He said
"Good, cause I need you here , we all do."
"Knock knock." I turned around and saw Scotty, Dustin, and Kyle standing in the doorway.
"Hey." Jake said
"How ya feelin'?" Dustin asked
"Good." Jake said
"Good, when you getting outta here?" Kyle asked
"Yeah, we miss you on the team." Scotty said
"I miss playing actually." Jake laughed "And I think I'm getting out of here in maybe a few weeks."
"Awesome." Dustin said
"Yeah. So whats happened?" Jake asked
"Hazel turned 5." I said trying not to cry but failed.
"Maddison?" Jake asked
"Her dad passed away on Hazel's birthday and her mom, still hasn't came back." Scotty said putting a hand on my shoulder
"Oh Madds, I'm so sorry." Jake said pulling my arms towards the bed. He pulled me onto the bed and gave me a big bear hug.
"Its okay Jake." I said
"No its not, whats gonna happen?" He asked
"I dont know." I said
"Well if you need any of us, just call us. If you wanna stay with me anytime, my mom wont care. just come on over." he said
"Thanks buba." I said, using the nickname I gave him a long time ago.
"Anytime." He said

sorry its short, ive had a lot of shit going on at home and at school and i just honestly wanna curl up in a ball and cry. im just tired of everyone giving me crap about everything i do, say, and wear. like honestly fuck off. but yeah , i hope you guys like i guess ... 😣
