"I don't dance but here I am spinning you round and round in circles it ain't my style but I don't care I'd do anything with you anywhere guess you got in the palm of your hands cause I don't dance." My alarm clock rang. I reached over to shut it off and tried to go back to sleep. Then I realized it was Thursday. Back to school. "Damn It." I thought to myself as I got out of bed and made my way to Hazel's room to wake her up.
As I reached her door I heard mumbling coming from the other side. I opened her door to see her all sprawled out in her bed. She was mumbling something in her sleep. I moved her head away from the edge of the bed and sat down beside her. She was so peaceful sleeping I didn't want to wake her but I had to.
"Hazel.." I said shaking her lightly "Hazel honey, wake up."
"Hmm." She said, her eyes fluttering open
"Come on, you gotta get up." I picked her up so she could still try and wake up a little bit more while I walked downstairs
"I see you got sleeping beauty up." Mom said as I walked through the kitchen to the dining room
"Morning daddy." I said setting Hazel down in her chair
"Morning darlin."
"Mommy.." Hazel whined
"Yes Hazel?" Mom said coming out of the kitchen with waffles
"Waffles.." Hazel said starting to fall back asleep
"I'm off to work." Dad said coming by and kissing all of us on the head then walking out the door
"Hazel wake up." Mom said putting a plate in front of her
"Maddison hurry or you'll a late." I finished my waffles and headed up stairs
I grabbed a pair of skinny jeans, my favorite hoodie that says 'Luke Bryan Is My Boyfriend', put my long blonde hair up in a tight ponytail and slipped on my cowboy boots.
I ran down the stairs as fast as I could, kissed my sister on the head and told her and my mom bye before going into the garage and getting in my truck. I was about to start it when I realized I forgot my keys. I opened the door and my mom appeared.
"I think you forgot something." She said holding my keys
"What would I do without you mom?" I said smiling at her
"I don't know." She said as I started the truck
The roaring of the engine just made me smile even more. I shut the door and waited for my mom to get inside the house to back out. I shut the garage door and went back to the truck. Before I got in someone pulled by the side of the road and yelled my name. I looked over and saw it was Scotty and Dustin.
"Yeah?" I asked
"Don't be late." He said with a wink then drove off
I'm late a lot but I blame him for that. He likes to stop me every chance he can.
Once I reached the school parking lot I parked my truck by my friend Anna's. I hopped out, grabbed my bag and headed for the school. I was almost at the door when someone picked me up.
"Dustin! Put me down!" I said smacking his hands
"Awh come on Maddison!" He said
"I can't be late again!" I said
"Okay fun sucker." He said putting me down "But you will come to baseball practice right?" He asked
"Duh!" I said
"Okay. See ya later!" He waved then left
Dustin is honestly like a brother to me. He's pretty cool. As I walked down the busy halls I went to my locker. I put in my combination then opened it. I grabbed my books and stuck them in my bag. As I was about to shut my locker it slammed shut. I looked over and Scotty was leaning against the other lockers.
