A LawLight Fanfiction - Chapter 1

Light had won, he stood in headquarters listening to L talk about what he thought about the death note and what to do with it. He couldn't loose the note book, not again. He had to come up with a plan, he had an idea, he walked outside discreetly signaling for Rem to follow him, she did.

"Rem, I want to make the eye trade." Light said. Rem stared at him in disbelief unsure what to say she replied "Are you sure Light?" Light understood the shinigami's confusion and explained.
"Yes, I'm sure. L is still to big a threat and must be eliminated" she now understood what he was doing "But Light I agreed to kill L, remember?" She said sounding concerned. "Yes, I know that Rem but I don't want to see you die. You are a very useful ally." This statement just confused the shinigami further but she sort of understood what he was saying. "Very well Light Yagami, I shall give you the shinigami eyes." Light closed his eyes as she placed her hand on Light's forehead and transferred the power.

When Light opened his eyes he looked at the first person who walked by, he saw exactly what he expected a name and life span floating above their head. "Thank you Rem" the shinigami just nodded at him as they walked back inside. Everyone else has left leaving L and Light alone.

Light sat at his desk next to L with a huge smile on his face. L noticed the teens behaviour and brought his thumb up to his mouth in curiosity. "You seem happy Light-Kun. Did something happen?" He said while he examined Light. "Yes L, I'm very happy."

Light's P.O.V

I smirked. L or should I say L Lawliet. He's the man I've been fighting all this time, and now I can eliminate him for good.
Although, I will miss him. Maybe I should keep him around for a little longer, he hasn't shown himself to be a threat to Kira but I'll definitely have to keep an eye on him.

L's P.O.V

Light-Kun is acting strange, something is wrong, I may not have evidence but
Light-Kun is definitely Kira. "What makes you so happy Light-Kun?" Did he kill someone? Who did he kill?

Light's P.O.V

"Oh, nothing much. I just found out something very interesting." I could tell that this caught L's interest. "Fascinating, care to share?" Wouldn't he like to know
I sighed " To think that you were correct all this time"

L's P.O.V

"What do you mean Light-Kun?" I asked hesitantly. I have a very bad feeling about this.

Light's P.O.V

"You should never doubt yourself L... Or should I say L Lawliet." My tone came out calm and slightly threatening, I could tell L was shaken by my statement.

L's P.O.V

"I-impossible... How?!" What is happening? What do I do? How did Light-Kun find out my real name?!
I gasped, unless... I looked back at
Light-Kun who had a huge smirk on his face. "Kira" the name left my mouth and it made my blood run cold, I didn't want to believe it.

Light's P.O.V

I laughed at L's shocked expression, that's right, he had been correct all along "That's right." I smirked. L was silent, he was clearly in shock, although I have no idea why he would be. He was right.

3rd person (Reader's P.O.V)

Light reached out to touch L's cheek and as expected L didn't respond. Light was shocked, he'd never seen the detective act this way. Three minutes had passed and L still hadn't responded, Light because worried and checked his pulse, thankfully he was still alive but in a state of complete shock.

Light has tried multiple things to bring L out of his frozen state but nothing worked, the only thing left he could think of was something more physical...
