L called the task force to headquarters as he arranged for the fake death note to be sent to America. He really didn't like where this was going but he had no other choice.
The task force arrived and took their seats.
"What is it that you wanted to talk about L?" Matsuda asked scratching his head. L took a deep breath before answering the question.
"I have decided to test the death note on a death row inmate. It will be sent to America tommorow and used on two inmates, one will be killed and the other will be testing the 13 day rule." The task force looked at the detective in shock.
Light faked a shocked expression as he stood behind his father. "But L that idea is terrible!" Soichiro protested. L took a sip of his coffee dampened sugar. "No buts Mr Yagami. I have made my decision."
Watari took the "death note" from L and put it in an envelope, preparing it to be shipped. The task force left.
L sighed "Doesn't Light-Kun want to go home with his father and see his family?" He said in an attempt to get Light to leave, it didn't work though. "No, not yet at least. I'll have all the time for that later." The words rolled of Light's tongue and made L shiver.
Light noticed the detective's weakened state and smirked. He walked up to L, lifting L's chin with his finger, looking him deep in the eyes. Usually the detective's eyes were filled with emptiness but now they were oozing with vulnerability and fear.
