[Hogwarts Au] Amortentia - Kyle Broflovisk

(Y/n)'s pov .

Godric was this frustrating .

If it wasn't bad enough that I , (Y/n) (L/n) , was almost late for the train that was due to me sleeping in , then the fact that Professor Garrison was returning back this year to teach Potions could just kiss my arse. 

And if that wasn't bad , I've just been informed that was made head girl by none other then the current head boy .

Bleeding Kyle Broflovisk.

I clutch my robes tightly as I headed to the prefect carriage , the face of my disappointed peers still fresh in my mind when I told them of my new role this year . Opening the door , I was face with a rather strange situation .

The note I was given stated that I was to arrive at the carriage ten minutes after I boarded the train for the prefect meeting  as to go over our patrol schedule and who our buddy was to be .

So why was there only Broflovisk sitting inside ?

I took the note from the pocket out and re-read it . There didn't seem to be any mistakes so where we're the other prefects ?

Merlin , this year is starting to get even terrible then I had hoped for it to be .

"Ah , (L/n) your here. " Broflovisk started , though his eyes never left the sheets of paper he had held in his hands .

"Yes , I am ." I responded cautiously , I could never be too careful when being alone with a boy even with the head boy . Besides , he had just casually said my name without the thought that it could've been someone else that came in .

Something wasn't right here .

"How did you know it was me ? I mean , it could've been someone else that came in here . "

He shrugged his shoulder , a quill in his hand as he scribbled something down . I sighed , how reassuring was it for me to know that we have such a responsible head boy to rely on in times of need .

I took out my pocket watch and checked the time . I shut my eyes , an agonizing groan escaped from my lips before I settled myself down on the seats . This was going to be one of the most painful hours I'll have to endure till the train reaches the castle .

Though , the awkward silence between the two of us could make this whole ride even more painful then it has to be . The only noise was the soft scribbling from Kyle's quill and our breathing .

"So , " I began as I stared out of the window  " Any reason why you recommend me to be head girl Broflovisk ? "

"Is there a need to tell you my reason ? " He mumbled , the sheets of paper in his hands now placed aside just in time for the rest of the perfects to enter the carriage , filling the room with their chatter and laughter .

I stood up , making my way towards Broflovisk and settling myself beside him as we both waited for the rest to settle themselves down . I may not know how these meetings went but from what I heard from some of my prefect friends , it could either end quick and fast or can end by the time we reach the castle .

And the thought of just sitting here and listening to Broflovisk just rambling on and on about our schedule for the year wasn't going to be a delightful way to spend my time .

And besides , I didn't sit still for 2 hours just to find out that Kyle Broflovisk was to be my patrol partner for the whole year straight .

The first of my patrols with Broflovisk was ... awkward , to say the least . All of the students that we caught past curfew was all handled by Broflovisk himself , leaving me to stand by the sidelines and watching him do all the work that a head girl should be helping with .
