"Mum, please just stay with me for another minute! The doctor's on his way, you're going to be fine, please just hold on!" The small girl sobbed frantically into her mother's arm as her mother choked on air. Her aunt picked her up and gently took her out of the room. The girl's father ran into the room with the doctor, who stood by the bed and checked the mother.
"I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do, her lungs are swollen and her antibiotics aren't doing their job. The best thing to do for her is put her in a drug-induced coma." The doctor said quietly to the father, who nodded, tears pouring down his face. He gently kissed his wife before leaving the room to comfort his eight year-old daughter.
