Birthday Girl!

*Charlie's PoV*

I wake up painfully early on my birthday, so I turn my PS3 volume down and play Skyrim, which in my opinion is the best game out there. Five minutes after starting, I get eaten by a dragon, but I was determined to kick that dragon's butt so I re-load it and kill it. Yay! I can unlock a new shout! Okay so some backstory of Skyrim: you are the Dragonborn, you can speak the ancient language of dragons and when you kill one you can absorb its soul so you can unlock Shouts. The Greybeards live on High Hrothgar and teach you the ways of the Dragonborn. There are also loads of side quests and stuff but it's actually really fun and there's just been an update so now you can build houses and adopt children. My character is a Khajiit called Sphinx (like my kitten!). There are different races in Skyrim like the Khajiit- the cat race, Bretons- the natives of Skyrim and Assorted types of Elves. There are loads more but I can't remember them all. I look over at my clock which reads 8:56! I can't believe it got so late. I head into my en-suite bathroom and had a shower. I quickly get dressed and go down into the kitchen where our cook is making me Eggs Benedict for my birthday. My father and Jamie come in singing happy birthday with their arms overflowing with presents! I sit down at the table and dig into my delicious hollandaise coated eggs and ciabatta. Jamie sits next to me and hands me my presents. I get:

A turquoise collar for my kitten Sphinx

A baby Gryphon

A collar for my Gryphon

An iPad Mini which can be used inside the grounds at Hogwarts

A two sided basket for Sphinx and Doom (my Gryphon)

Assorted lollies like Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans and Chocolate Frogs

And a copper wand case

I hug Jamie and my father as a way of saying thank you. My father hands me a small gold and purple box.

"This is from your mother. She said to give it to you if you ever got accepted into Hogwarts." I slowly open the box to see a small moonstone which had a gold band curled around it.

"It's beautiful!" I slip it onto my finger and it fits perfectly. I smile at my father who has tears in his eyes. I hug Jamie and my father in a group hug. I see the envelope beside my breakfast plate. I open it and see that it's from Harry.

Hey!

I can't believe that it's September already! The muggles say that they will drop me off at the station!

I smile and run up the stairs to pack my suitcase. I pack:

My robes

My wand and the case

iPad mini and headphones

My lollies

All my school books

My cauldron

My scales

My telescope

My pet basket

A small purse with some money in it just in case

I also clip my collars onto my pets and place them in their cages. I walk down the stairs dragging my suitcase behind me.

"Ready to go?" I hear my fathers voice say from inside his office.

"Yup! Aaahh I'm so excited!" I yell back at him.

He walks out of his office and out the front door, locking it with a swish of his mahogany wand. I load my suitcase and cages into the backseat, sitting beside them. My father's chauffeur, Giles, gets into the car and I wave goodbye to Jamie.

*Time Skip*

At the station, I wave goodbye to Giles and my father unloads my suitcase. I kiss him goodbye.

"Sorry sweetie, something has come up at the Ministry, otherwise I would come and see you off." He apologises.

"That's ok, make sure you come next year though!" I reply, hugging him. I walk off, looking at my ticket as I do. It says to take the train from platform nine and three quarters. I look up at the large plastic numbers that say nine and ten. I look around, confused, when I see Harry walking towards me. We greet each other and overhear a group of people saying,

"-packed with Muggles, of course-"

The speaker was a plump woman with flaming red hair, talking to a bunch of children with the same hair as her. Each of them was pushing a trolley. Harry and I look at each other and walk over to the family.

"Excuse me, but we heard you say Muggles and, well, we aren't exactly sure how to get onto the platform." I say.

"All you have to do is walk straight at the barrier between platforms nine and ten, make sure you don't stop or you'll crash into it. Best do it at a bit of a run if you are nervous. Ron, you go first show them how to do it." The witch replied.

The boy called Ron walked towards the barrier and went straight through it! I was amazed but volunteered to go next. I walked straight at the barrier and broke into a bit of a run. I felt like such an idiot, I knew I was going to smash into the barrier and then I'd get told off. I didn't hit the barrier though, I went straight through it and out the other side. I grinned at Ron and waited for Harry to come through the barrier. When he did and all of Ron's brothers and his mother had come through we boarded the train and found an empty compartment. Ron's mother jogged alongside the train as it started off until it sped up where she stopped and waved. On our way to Hogwarts we speak happily and excitedly when a girl with bushy brown hair came along and asks if anyone had seen a toad. She also says we need to get changed into our robes because we would be arriving soon. A lady came along with a trolley full of food. Harry was obviously hungry because he bought some of everything. After a little while train screeched to a stop and everyone got off the train. Hagrid waves at us and said that all the first years needed to go to the boats. We glide across the glass lake and round a corner and before our eyes is a massive stone castle! All the first years start murmuring to themselves and even the rude blond boy from the clothing shop looks amazed. The boats gently stop and Hagrid makes us all get out and we walk up to the front doors.
