- so this might come off as depressing, it's really about how some people spend there life striving for happiness before they realize that they were content all along (one of my deeper works)

Hope is what you turn to

When there's no where else to run

Love is what you wanted

When you swore you had found the one

Pride is what can hurt you

After all it is a sin

And joy can never heal you

If you never let it in

Laughter can be ecstasy

If you are you and I am me

But sitting round in silence

Will never feel so free

Pain can be a virtue

It can often make you strong

And friends can help you see the light

In the cold dark tunnel that can be life

You can search your whole life long

For you simply have not heard

You can never find pure happiness

For it is just a word
