Today was your's and James's 2nd year anniversary of being in a relationship together but you had work and you couldn't miss it. You were both saving up to get married someday which you hope was soon. Sighing you put your bag over your shoulders and walked out you're house. Your work was literally 5 minutes away, just round the corner from you; you worked in a bank. James was at a meeting so he wouldn't be back until late.
" hey y/n ." Your friend called from the table next to you. You smiled and sat down bringing out a pad, pen and logging onto the computer.
"Why aren't you and James together today?" I shrugged my shoulders a little upset that we were both busy today. " It is your 2nd year today. Isn't it? "
"Yeah but it's complicated." I puffed and checked my phone seeing no text's or phone calls. "You know we have to save up to get married Lucy." Your friend Lucy smirked and continued with her work. " What are you smirking at?"
"Oh nothing." You decided to get back at your work before you got fired.
"Y/n"
"What is it now Lucy?" You got impatient and just wanted to work and go home today. You turned round not just to face Lucy but to see James... On one knee. " oh my god... Oh my-"
"Y/n, I love you so so much. I would love to grow old and have children together with you. Would you do me the honours and marry me? You were stunned that he was here and that he came to propose. Smiling you nodded as he slid the ring onto your finger, cupped your face in his hands and kissed your lips. You missed James and were so happy that he was here. When you both parted there was a loud applause as everyone was cheering and whistling.
"Ohh, Get some James!" You looked over and seen Beau eating some cake while making sexual gestures.
"I love you " you whispered into James's ear while you hugged him.
"I love you too y/n"
