Chapter 3 Cafe Trip

As I started to walk away, there came another knock on my door. I sighed angrily, I stormed up to the door, and said "what do you want now?" But instead of seeing Josh and Percy I saw a girl about my age, she had Blue eyes with

Long Mousy blond hair, which almost looked gold blond, she was Tanned and Mid height. She wore black leggings

with white singlet and converse shoes. "Well," she said in a mature voice, "what got into your nickers this morning? Don't tell me Josh has."

I laughed, "No, but he annoyed me this morning."

I laughed, "No, but he annoyed me this morning."

Well I'm sorry that my brother annoyed you."

I looked at her in horror, "How could you be related to him? Your amazing and he is...." I trailed off.

"Annoying, all about himself jackass ?" She said finishing off my sentence.

I nodded, "yea."

"Well, I'm sorry for him annoying you," she put out her hand." By the way I'm Jessie."

I shook her hand, "Grace."

"Well, I'm here to collect you for training." I looked at her like she was nuts.

"Training?" I laughed, "your crazy, I don't train." I walked over to my bed and grabbed out a packet of chocolate I stashed in my bag when I was packing.

Jessie ripped them out of my hands, "well you will be now. Get into a sports bra with tights." I sighed and grabbed out my fancy purple sports bra and fancy black tights. "I'm so fancy." I said to myself quietly. As I walked outside my door, Jessie was standing there waiting for me. When she saw me she took off down the halls not looking back to see if I was following. I had to jog to catch up with her but when I got to her she walked inside a room. I sighed, when will she wait for me? I walked inside the room, it was massive, like really really big, as big as a mansion. There was a running track, dummy's, high beams, and so much more.

I heard Jessie laugh, "Yea, it's amazing at first but now I hate it to death." She said then walked over to the walking beam, I sighed and followed her.

4 hours later, I was walking across the beam with out falling on my face, it was about 4feet off the ground. I'm horrible at balance but about the 50th time falling onto my face I started to balance for about 5 seconds then I would fall off. But now I can walk a across without falling off, and I was very proud of myself. Suddenly i did a back flip on the beam, I gasp in shock. How the hell did I do that??

"Wow!" I heard a voice across from me. I turned and saw Josh standing near the door with a smirk on his face.

"What do you want?" I snapped at him.

He put his hands up in defence, "I came here to train, but then I saw you do that flip, but," he said looking me up and down. "You have a hott body, so I might as well be here to check you out." He winked at me, all I did was roll my eyes and looked away because I knew I would be blushing. "Shut up, you ass." I said in a joking voice, as I went and moved over to the door to leave but then Josh put his hands in front of the door, "where do you think your going?"

"To my room," I said annoyed.

Josh grabbed my wrist and said, "How about you hang out with me?"

I looked at him like he was crazy, "No thank you, I have better things to do."

He laughed, "No you don't, let's go." He said pulling me the other way from my room.

"Where are we going?" I said.

"Going out, you haven't been to New York before so I'm going to show you around." I pulled my wrist out of his hand, "if your going to do that, shouldn't I get changed." He looked down me, "your right, go get dressed, I will wait here." I nodded and walked back to my room.

I grabbed out a pair of shorts and a purple tank top with slip on purple shoes, then I jogged back to where I last saw Josh. "Is your favourite colour purple to something?" Josh said nodding to my clothes.

I laughed, "Like isn't a word that can describe how much I love it."

3 hours later after walking around New York, we stop for something to eat. The waiter came over to us, and we told her what we wanted, I asked for just a muffin, and a chocolate milk shake. Josh asked for a mud cake and a strawberry milkshake. Only 5 mins later the waiter came back out with our food. I dug into my muffin, it was do yummy.

"So," Josh said after taking a sip of his drink,"what do you think of New York? Miss home yet?" He looked at me with his bright gold eyes. I smiled, I loved looking at his eyes, they were beautiful and magical. "I miss home more, Australia is amazing."

He nodded, "I understand, I would miss home if I was taken away from the only place I could call home."

Tears started to come to my eyes, " I miss home so badly, even if I just got here, I know I will, never see it again." I take a deep breath in, "I miss my mum so badly." Tears rolled down my face.

Josh moved his chair over to me, "Don't worry, I bet you will see her one day." I shook my head, "She died when I was 3." I put my head to Josh's chest and cried into it, he held me gently. I moved away from his chest and whipped away my tears, "Can we go back now please?" He nodded, and we got up and payed for our food.The walk back was in silence, Josh tried to start up a conversation but I just ignored him. I didn't even say good bye to anyone I knew, and Leo wouldn't even remember me anyone, he was popular and good looking, he could get another girlfriend easy. Then a idea came to my head, I could go on Facebook and check on him. But I may have to start a new account with a different last name. I smiled to myself, I might be able to talk to him again. A smile went onto my face.

"What are you thinking about?" I looked over to him.

"I was thinking about my boyfriend," I sighed, "well I guess I have to call him my ex-boyfriend now." Me and Leo had plans for our future, we were going to live together, we were even saving up to rest a house. But now it's ruin, I will next see him again and it's because of me being a shadow hunter, or something, but how come when I first meet Clary she said I am in danger? There has to be more of a reason then me just being a shadow hunter.

I felt a arm on my wrist, I snap out of thought and turn to Josh. "Are you listening?"

I shook my head, he sighed. "Well your a brilliant listener."

"I'm so sorry, I was thinking about what has happen, I just don't understand one thing......." I trailed off.

"What don't you understand?" He said looking down at me. It was funny, not until last year, I never had a guy look over me, I was tall so I never found a guy that was taller them me. " when I first met your mum, she said that I was in danger."

He looked at me weirdly, "Well you don't seem normal Grace, when I first started walking on the beam it took me mouths for me to be able to master a back flip and I still wasn't brilliant at it. You were only on it for 4 hours and you did a back flip like it was the easiest thing you have done. And those dreams....." He trialled off like he was in deep thought. He then suddenly snapped out of thought. He looked at me, his eyes looking right at mine, he then grabbed my chin. He looked at me like we were the only people on earth. His hand was soft under my chin. He then leaned in and kissed my lips softly, then he moved my lips and I followed his lead by moving my lips with his. My eyes closing, but then as fast as it started he pulled away, I open my eyes and saw them wide looking right at me, as if he just snapped out of a dream. He then turned around and walked away. I stood there not knowing what to do, taking in what just happen. Josh just kissed me.
