The past week had been very undramatic, Ace was back from his time down in Fairview and he seemed a lot calmer, now that he had everything sorted for the big race he could finally relax, he was very pleased when he found out he had gotten in, in fact he had been extra nice to Rebecca these past couple of days and she was loving it, he was back to his former self and she just hoped he would stay that way.

She spent most of her days and nights at Ace's house, Junior Merrill was still out of town and it was on the tip of her tongue to mention that she thought she had seen his pick-up truck being driven around town while he was away, but she kept her mouth shut, she didn't want to put him in a foul mood, she didn't want to dampen it with the thought of his father.

After their latest night of passion she found herself sitting in his back yard watching him shine down his prized possession, the blood red cadillac. She smirked watching his arms wipe the side of the car with a clean cloth, her eyes darted to his backside and she felt herself get hotter, just the mere sight of him sent her temperature soaring.

Wild One by Bobby Rydell blared out from Ace's car and she sat back and let out a pleasant sigh, life was just fine.

She looked down at her black peddle pushers, dirt had formed on the bottom right leg and she decided she need to finally go home and do some laundry and the chores she had been slacking on all week, she gave Ace a peck on the cheek goodbye and in return he pulled her in for a proper kiss, she managed to keep her hands off him this time round, she had work to do.

She stubbed out her cigarette got in her car and started the two minute drive to her house, she was too lazy to walk. As she arrived at her house, she noticed Charlie walking down to her she gave him a glare, she hadn't seen him since Ace had found him wandering the streets of Castle View and she had no plans to see him again.

"What do you want, Charlie?" She asked getting out of the drivers seat and slamming the door and then crossing her arms as she made her way up the drive way. "If Ace finds out you were here, you're a dead man!"

"I know," Charlie stepped towards her, she stared at his old tattoo that had been carved off, a scab had formed and it didn't look very pretty. "I just want to apologise that's all, I don't want to leave knowing you hate me." He was still leaving in one month's time and he wanted to clear the air.

"And?" She coldly asked.

"Jesus! Rebecca, why do you have to be so stubborn?" He ran his hand threw his greased hair. "Look I'm just down here to say goodbye to my folks that's all and I wanted to see ya, I'll be back at the view later, so Ace won't even know I was here."

"What are you up there for anyway?" She frowned, uncrossing her arms, she had been curious as to why Charlie was up at Castle View, it wasn't like any of them belonged there.

Charlie let out a sigh, he thought it might have been best to tell the truth once in his life. "I used to live there when I was younger, you remember that asshole we met in Blue Point? Darren?" He asked her referring to Darren Hayworth the guy that had come over to them on Rebecca's birthday.

"Yeah? What's this got to do with him?"

"He's my cousin." Charlie replied and she raised her eyebrows at him questionably. "I used to live with my Aunt Eve up in the view, when I was a baby my parents decided that they were too young to have the responsibility of having a child so they gave me to my Aunt."

"Why you lying, Charlie? I can remember my childhood and you were pretty much in it most of the time." Rebecca shook her head and sighed at him.

"I was eight when I moved to Castle Rock, my ma and pa came back and told me I had a choice I could either stay where I was or I could come live with them." He took out a cigarette from behind his ear and lit it. "The money I'm getting to leave Castle Rock with, it's from my Aunt, she's pretty rich and I told her I'd do her odd jobs round the house for some dollars, so I've been working up there and I'll have enough money by the start of the new year to leave."

"If that's true then why would you chose to live here and not in rich-ville?" Rebecca scoffed at him.

"Because I didn't belong there, I hated it everything was so boring and you couldn't do anything without someone breathing down your neck, I'm not like them, Rebecca, I didn't fit in. It's just like you, you don't belong here."

"Yes I do," She scowled at him as she walked up to her door, she turned her body round. "You might not fit in up there, Charlie. But you sure as hell don't belong down here." And with that she slammed the door in his face.

He sighed and looked to the ground defeated, he would try again another day.

"You going to tell me why you set fire to Ace's car, you little piece of shit?" Jack Mudgett spat at Chris, him and Ace had found him walking down town alone and they decided to give him a little interrogation.

"I don't know what you're talking about, you pyscho." Chris denied, he glared at the two boys, Jack held Chris' arm tightly but he wasn't scared, he had been in this position many a time and he had come to get used to it.

"Now, Chambers? You wouldn't lie to my good buddy now would you?" Ace smirked, he had been leaning on the side of the wall watching in the background, they were behind Blue Point Diner and nobody would see them. "I know it was you, kid. You've always had a problem with me."

"Nah, man. You're the one who's always had the problem." Chris spat back at him, Ace stepped forward he was holding a bottle of beer, he motioned Jack to step away which he willingly abided to.

"Well let us drink our problems away." Ace grinned pushing the bottle on Chris' left cheek. "Go on take a sip."

"I don't drink." Chris glared, hitting the bottle away. After seeing what alcohol did to both of the Frank's in the family Chris had vowed never to touch the stuff, too scared that he would turn into a monster himself, it was in the family blood.

"It wasn't a suggestion." Ace calmly stated, sensing Chris was going to make a dash for it Ace grabbed him and shoved the bottle in his mouth. "Go on swallow, Chris. We all know you like to swallow Lachance's load."

Jack burst out into a loud annoying cackle and Chris started to gag as he felt the cold beer run down his throat. "See, doesn't that taste good?" Ace puckered his lips in a patronising way while he took the bottle out of Chris' mouth and Chris spat the beer back in his face, Ace was about ready to knock him out cold when Billy Tessio came running down the alley-way.

"It-It-wasn't-him." He breathed out of breath, from running all the way down.

"What are you stuttering about?" Ace asked Billy, wiping Chris' spit off of his face with his handkerchief in disgust, he threw the hanky on the floor not ever wanting to use it again.

"It wasn't him who set fire to your car, man." Billy said recapturing his breath.

"Well who was it?" Ace asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Well I don't know! But whoever it was has just thrown a brick through your front window." Billy told him, Ace stood there thinking for a moment before signalling Billy and Jack to move their asses, Jack giving a blow to the side of Chris' head as they walked away.

"Man, I really gotta stop smoking." Billy complained as he finally got his breath back as the three young men made their way to the road.
