Leah
Leah got a F on her oral report.
"Next time, Leah, please try harder," Mr. Vosler said in a stern, but gentle voice.
Mr. Vosler was her language arts teacher. Leah could have done better, but it was Brittany who made her get the F she had.
Brittany had switched around Leah's original paper with a blank piece of paper with the words "FAILURE" all in capital letters with a hot pink gel pen. Leah had to admit, Brittany's cursive handwriting was flawless.
Leah had to recite the words she memorized, which to say, was not a lot. She knew that Brittany and her friends had planned this for weeks now, and as Brittany said, "I will my revenge". As with all the other teachers, Brittany was also Mr. Vosler's star student. He never suspected a thing. Brittany, obviously, got an A.
Later that day, as Leah was at her locker, Brittany said,
"Hey, what did you get on your oral report?" She smirked, knowing that Leah got a bad grade.
"Why should I tell you?" Leah said defensively.
"Well, I just wanted to know." Brittany said. She turned her head the other way and walked off.
"What was that about?" Andy asked, still staring in the direction Brittany had went off in.
"Oh, nothing." Leah lied.
"I know you're lying, Leah. I can tell by the face you're making. You always hunch your shoulders and you always look down and your eyebrows furrow."
"Ugh!" Leah said, "Sometimes I wish you didn't know me that well," she said annoyed. "Spill it, girl." Andy encouraged.
"Oh, fine!"
Leah told her best friend everything. About how Brittany had switched around her oral report papers, to how Brittany would separate Justin and her. When she finished, Andy commented,
"Wow. I didn't know that Brittany wanted Justin back so badly."
"Yeah. I guess we'll just have to fight back." Leah said.
Andy smiled, knowing that she and Annabeth had devised a spectacular plan to get Brittany away from Justin. It was like getting a mosquito away from a lightbulb.
"What? Why were you smiling?" Leah demanded.
"Oh, nothing." Andy said, repeating Leah's earlier words.
"Can I come to your house tomorrow? I'm going to get something out of you. Or at least try. Oh, and do you mind if I bring Munchie, my dog?" Leah asked, in a sudden change of topic.
"Sure, why not? I'll always enjoy the company of a dog," Andy said.
"Please... Tell me, Andy." Leah begged.
"Nope. I promised someone I wouldn't tell. Our plan, er, um, Strawberry Fanta is bomb. I'll bring a bottle to your house.
"Great," Leah said.
You don't know me as well as I know you." Andy said mischievously.
"Leah!" A gruff voice rang throughout the school.
Leah swiveled to look in the direction of the speaker. It was the school principal, Mr. Lazi.
"My office. Now!" Students stared at Leah with wide eyes.
'Well, I guess bye," Leah said.
"See ya later! Oh, and good luck," Andy said grinning.
