I catch my breath after my long, tiresome run from my village after gathering my things. As soon as my breathing is back to normal, I begin working.

First, the blankets go up. Putting a long nail in my mouth, and the hammer in my pocket, I take the blanket and, standing on my very tip-toes, hold it up to the top of the cave wall. Next, I bang the nail into the rock and the blanket hangs there. Then I do the same for the other side. Because the blanket only goes 3/4 of the way across the cave, the other blanket covers up the other side, so it overlaps.

Finally, after alot of banging and reaching up, I step back to admire my work. I nod. I step through the doors and they close behind me with a "Swoosh!"

Next up: the inside. It's dark, but I have alot of space to work with, giving me lots of options.

I make a mental blueprint of how everything is going to be layed out, and with the picture in mind, I get started, starting with the bed.

The soil on the ground makes for a pretty good mattress, but before I get to making the actual bed, I need something to sweep all the pine needles from the trees.

I take a short walk outside. Not far away, a field of long, stiff, green grass is waving in the slow wind.

"Bingo!" I run up to the patch and start hacking the grass from the ground. After I have two huge fist fulls of grass, I deliver them back to my house. Next, I need a long, stirdy stick. One, just behind the cave, lies there, beside a flowing, deep blue creek! I pick up the stick and test to see if the stick is good enough for a broom. Sure enough, it is.

Then, making a note in my head to take a quick dip in the creek, I head back the the cave to construct my broom.

When I arrive back at my house, the moon is right above me, telling me, even though I would love to stay out all night, I need my sleep. Yawning, I open the blanket doors, and start building my broom.

I lay aside one thick piece of grass and take one hand full of grass and hold it up to the stick. Then, I take the other one and do the same thing. Then, after many unsuccessful tries, I tie the three things together. Once the broom is ready to go, I begin sweeping.

The broom works well, and when I'm done, the floor is left with little pine needles and the bed is ready to be made.

To do so, I go to my bag and take out my pillow and blanket. I lay it out smoothly and fix my pillow in the corner. It's simple, but it'll work, at least for one night.

Putting the broom aside, I yawn and tuck myself on for bed.

The next day, I wake up, and wonder where in the world I am? Then I remember, happy and sad.

"Today, I should finish up organizing my house." I say as I open the doors. The sun on the cave walls blinds me for a moment, as I have not been in the sun for quite a while!

I set off on a search for some more berries to eat.

After a while, I spot another bush covered in berries, plump, red and blue. Taking bagfulls of them, I set off again to find the creek by my cave.

After a few miles of walking, I approach my cave. The sun peaks just over the top, making the entrance disappear.

Just behind it is the creek I saw before. I had brought along a couple of buckets I stole from the village, perfect for carrying food and water. I set the full buckets of berries on the ground and wade in. The bucket quikly becomes full, but it doesn't do anything to me walking back.

When I arrive back at my cave, my stomach is growling. I laugh and set the buckets down.

"You're going to have to wait a little longer for food!" I say. "I need dishes."

Going back outside, I saptart looking for a large piece of tree bark, or something to eat upon. Then an idea pops into my mind!

I can weave some of that long grass I saw earlier and make a plate!

I run around to the back of my cave and the little parch of long grass waves to me.

Perfect!

After a few minutes of hacking the grass, I run back, eager to get started. My tummys just, if not more, eager to do so as well!

Soon, the cave comes into sight.

Home sweet home!

The grass is easy to weave, and soon, the plate is ready to be used! I sprinkle some berries onto the plate and dig in.

The berries arn't really that filling, I'm not completely full yet.

I think. What can I eat? That's not meat, anyway.

That might be a problem. There is many things you could eat if you cooked it, so being a vegetarian is going to be a bit of a problem! Berries and unpoisenous mushrooms were good enough, but what about when I get even more hungry?

Mt tummy still growling, I step outside the cave and take a look around. The sun is high in the sky, and the shadows are short. I start my walk, and head towords the village.

The village is probably going to be one of my main food sorces.

It's dangerous to go sneaking around in broad daylight, but I'm hungry.

The village is busiling, everyone making, sharpening and practicing their weapons, obviously getting ready for the war.

I snap my fingers. The war! I need to find a way to get more info about that!

The Chief would never tell me anything if I just showed up at his doorstep. I'll have to find a way to get some knowledge later. Right now, I need some more food.
