-Jess’s point of view-

It was the 8th time I was going to my parents house. I really liked it. I was staying for the weekend. I had some major pieces of course work that needed to be done and I didn’t need any distractions. Last weekend my parents went over to the Brooks and brought the cot and pram that was now in mine and Beaus room. Our parents discussed where we were going to go when we had the baby. We decided that we would stay at Beaus. After our baby had been born I was going to stop working on the weekend for awhile and going to school. I wasn’t going to miss any exams and my teachers agreed to send my work home with Luke and Jai and I would go in once every two weeks for extra help. This would last 3months. My parents and Gina agreed to look after our baby when I went to school for that day and Beau was working. Staying at Beaus was going to benift us. We didn’t have enough money to rent a flat anywhere and also for extra support for our baby. Everything seemed fine.

I woke up on Saturday morning and went to work. As soon as I got home I done coursework and fell asleep. The same happened Sunday. I ended up staying Sunday night as well as I was too tired to go to the Brooks. I woke up and my Dad dropped me off at school. People had gotten over the fact that I was pregnant. All the shitty comments had stopped. Luke and Jai ran up to me when they saw me and said how much they missed me. School dragged on a lot, I was getting down and trying to do as much as I could before my baby arrived. Gina picked us up today and took us home. I had a quite a bit of homework to do, the teachers gave me more than others so I had less to catch up with when I gave birth. I ran upstairs into mine and Beaus room to get started.

I was in shock. It had changed. The purple walls had turned to cream. All the leopard print was gone. We had black bed sheets, some little blinds. The carpet was black and the cot was up next to the bed. Above the cot was some mobile thing. On one of the walls it was covered in pictures of all of me, Beau and everyone else. Everything was tidy. It was so nice. I began to cry. Beau sneaked up behind me.

‘Don’t you like it? The boys and me done all the decorating. The other girls told us what to do and stuck the pictures up’ Beau wrapped his arms just above my bump.

‘I love it’ I smiled. ‘We are so ready for this baby.’

I wasn’t joking. Usually after work I would wonder round baby shops, we had enough nappies, clothes for our newborn child, dummies, bottles, toys. The only thing we hadn’t got was a name.

‘I’m glad you like it babe. You thought of a name yet?’

‘I was thinking maybe we could give him 4 middle names?’

He began to smile. ‘What are you thinking?’

‘Well they have helped us so much, I really want to name him after the boys?’

‘I love that idea but isn’t that a bit too many names? I mean that’s without his actual name and last name.’

‘Oh yeah’ I sighed ‘What about Aiden or Dale?’

‘I love those’

‘Aiden Brooks, Dale Brooks, well we can see what name suits him when he comes?’

‘Yeah’ He smiled as I took out the rest of my homework.

-Gabbys point of view-

It was Monday evening, I was with James at the park waiting for everyone else to come. Well everyone but Jess she was determind to finish her English courseworkthis week. We had been out an hour when I recieved a text. *Hey Gabby, I know you’re all out but I was wondering if you’d pop round and help me with this English, I have no idea xx* Of course I went. I told them all and left. The park was literally down the road from the Brooks household so it wasn’t a long journey. We had been working for over an hour and we were beginning to get thirsty. I told her I’d go get us some drinks. I was about to go back upstairs when I heard a thud. No-one else was home, it must of been Jess. I dropped the drinks on the side and ran over to the stairs where she laid in pain. I helped her up and took her to the sofa.

Ow my stomach’ She was in serious pain.

‘I’m calling an ambulance’ I reached for my phone. ‘Hello, ambulance please’ I gave them the address. I wasn’t bothered about telling the others. I couldn’t Jess was in to much pain for me to call them. The ambulance quickly came and we got in. That’s when I rung everyone else.

‘Hello, James? Do me a favour and put Beau on?’ I was crying by now ‘Beau, it’s Jess, we are in the ambulance now. She fell down the bottom 3 stairs and she was in pain. We are on the way to the hospital now. She said can you call her parents, save her english work, pack it away, get her some trackies and a baggy top and meet us down here?’

‘What? Yes, ok! I will. See you soon.’ He hung up.

-Beaus point of view-

We were all at the park when James got a call from Gabby and strangely passed it to me. I was in shock when she told me.

‘I have to go to the hospital, Jess is in pain’ As I spoke their faces dropped.

‘We’ll all go.’ Skip came and comforted me as we walked away from the park. ‘You guys all go to Beaus, do what she asked you too and I’ll meet you with my car and we’ll drive down there together.’

We did just that. We were ready to go within 10minutes. Her parents were going down as soon as they finished work as they couldn’t get off. As we reached the hospital I ran over to see Gabby in tears.

‘What’s happened? Where is she?’

‘She is being looked at now. No-one can go in at the moment. She told me to tell you everything will be fine.’

I dropped to the floor in tears, nobody had really seen me cry before. Gabby picked me up as everyone else comforted me in the waiting room. Would we lose the baby? Would Jess be alright?
