Memories Of The Past

*before Bolt woke up at espys house*

Lucent's P.O.V

I waited nervously as Espy checked on my little brother, he was still knocked out and winessing the legend to be true is a lot.

I didn't even notice espy come out of the guests room to inform us of his condition."Lucent, Ribbon, Bolt is in a fine condition even though he did die he is in a good health and we it need to wait for him to wake up." Espy informed them delighted.

"Oh thank goodness I am so glad he is ok,thank you for everything espy," ribbon sighed I did too relieved.
Flare got off of the couch and moved to espy he asked her something but I already went back to my thoughts.

That idiot sure got himself in a real mess, I cant help but admit even though I dont like her, I would be quite lost without her.She was my childhood crush after all.

<Flashback begins>

I walked through the market place as my sister Ribbon nagged at me about all the toys and accessories around the shops.
We were just little eevee then, we haven't evolved yet and bolt was still just an egg.

"Brother can we pretty please check the shops out!Come on brother!," Ribbon nagged me it was honestly annoying and before long I gave in.

"FINE RIBBON,we will check one store then we have to get back to the egg ." I groaned.
I remember  everyone was looking at me and I really wanted to get out of there,afterall my silver fur stood out being a oddcolor would always draw attention in public.

We were still walking around and a little psychic tent stood out and drew Ribbons attention. "Lets go there brother!" My sister squelead as she dragged me to the tent,but I must admit I was curious too.

Once we walked in were meet with a dark room lit by small candles,we saw   two pokemon by a table with a crystal ball and other items. There was an eevee talking to a female meowstic.
"Young espy you have a lot of talent and even without psychic abilities,but I cant show anything without being a psychic type,I'm sorry so head back to your parent little espy." Mewed the meowstic

The little eevee looked down, disappointed but nodded and left the tent.I felt bad and even if I didnt know what was going on I wanted to help her I was a bit to busy to notice that I was blushing. "H-hey uh Ribbon here take some gold, I will be back wait outside the tent for me will you."
Ribbon grinned noticing the blush I didnt notice, and nodded before taking the gold.

"Yup yup ok I will see you soon brother, make sure I meet your little crush later," she giggled as she pushed me outside not giving me a chance to defend myself.

"W-what just happened,ugh nevermind I have to go find her before I lose her in the crowd." I reminded myself and quickly followed any trace the eevee left.

I followed espy for a while I forgot about my sister as I followed her to the forest, I was such a bad brother then I forgot about my sister over a crush.
"Hey wait please," I finally yelled out as we got farther from the market. Espy turned around shocked as she heard me call out to her. "Who are you, why did you follow me?" She questioned looking at me my scarf that blew through the wind and if I didn't have silver fur she wouldn't have realized I was the eevee from the tent.

"Your the eevee from Illusions tent, that shiny,why did you follow me?"
She asked curious I noticed her eyes were puffy and she looked to be crying it sounded like she really wanted something from meowstic.
She wanted to be trained I would learn later, but I didnt care then I just wanted to see the eevee smile.

"I am sorry I just saw you look sad so I wanted cheer you up,sorry if I bothered you in anyway." I apologized though espy wasnt mad or annoyed with, instead I made her smile like I wanted to.

We were just strangers to eachother then but we talked and became closer even more then friends...We drifted apart once we evolved and started doing jobs she stabbed me in the back even.Its painful to remember that day...

<flashback time skip to her betrayal>

I was walking through the market I just finished my mission and ribbon was taking care of young bolt so I had some time to spare.
I soon passed by a tent, it was familiar because its was illusions old tent. "Wait isn't illusion retired, she was so that means her prodigy took over." Out of curiosity of who it was I peeked inside.

I felt deja vu as the familiar dark look of the area with the candles that dimly lit the tent. I shouldn't have been so surprised but I was once I saw the psychic pokemon be my old crush, Espy.
"Espy your the one running illusions tent!" I yelped shocked.

"Bolt is it really you, of course I run my mentors tent I may live in the woods studying the unknown and more, but I still need to make a living." She looked at me annoyed.

"So what brings you here are you hoping for my services, if your just here to stand in shock you might as well leave," she growled
That took me by surprised her voice was laced with a toxic warning it hurt to hear such anger from her.
"Are you mad at me, did I do something wrong espy?" I knew it was wrong to assume such things but she was always so calm so a sudden burst like that was shocking.

Her gaze was sharp and it was full of annoyance it was weird it wasnt right, no something wasnt right then.
"You seriously dont remember you are a sad excuse of a pokemon Lucent!" She growled starting to come up close to me.
"What did I do? I swear I didnt do anything espy!" I cried she was spouting nonsense about what I did, she yelled about me leaving her in the dust after hurting her.

It was all lies, all of it.
"I DIDNT DO ANYTHING, I didn't leave you, or hurt you I didnt even scratch you!" I growled back pushing her with my muzzle. her accusations were lies.
I stormed out of the tent angered at her.Later she even claimed to have never said such things and blamed me for saying such things aswell.she was just a liar...

She apologized still claiming not to have done anything but I was already crushed and scoffed, she hurt me and I couldn't trust her our "perfect friendship" was over I cant forgive her or even trust her after all that...

And so here we are now me asking for help from the very Espeon that hurt me, but what choice did I have? Her knowledge of this stuff is vast and  now we need her help more then ever...

Wow thanks for reading this it was kinda crappy but I hope it explains some things about espy and lucent's history together.

Still sorry for me being inactive but I will work on this story for awhile then continue my other one so I hope that's fine
