I looked over at the clock and realized my shift ended in about five minutes. Excitement started to fill my whole body and I decided to try and finish up the rest of my work as fast as possible. Emily came around the corner and watched me as I was hurrying to finish up the last bit of work I had to do before I could clock out and go home for the day.

"Megan, I could drive you home if you'd like. It's getting a little chilly and the sun is starting to set. I don't want you to freeze out there!"

"It's alright, Emily. Thank you so much for the offer though. It really does mean a lot to me. I brought a light jacket with me just in case it did get a little chilly. I came prepared."

She smiled, nodded her head, and walked back into her office to finish her paper work.

I finished my closing work, clocked out, and gave Emily the two knocks on her office door to symbolize that I was finished and heading home for the day.

I walked out of the gas station and started my walk home.

"Emily was right, It is kind of chilly out here. I'm glad that I thought ahead and brought a jacket."

I continued walking down the familiar road. I had a quick flash back to the beautiful trees I passed by on my way to work. I looked around to try and find them. They weren't exactly on my path, but they also weren't too far away off either. I decided it wouldn't hurt if I just went over to the park to see them more closely.

I found them on the left side of the road. I could see them clearly between the two large houses. I didn't feel comfortable walking in their yards, so I decided to try and find a different path. I found the entrance to the park. The gate sign read: "Open Everyday From: 10am-9pm". I took my phone out of my pocket to check the time. My phone screen lit up and read: "8:42pm". Great, that gives me seventeen minutes to walk over to the trees and maybe even snap a few pictures.
