The casket was lowered to the ground as the people around him cried but him while the coffin remained empty.
As the coats of black, joyless faces, and dark umbrellas gathered around, the despair creeped in, a surge of rain drops trickled down to the smooth surfaces of their umbrellas, it was cold, the freezing wind blowing through them, rustling the remaining leaves of the tall trees scattered around, regardless of the conditions they continued to mourn, a gloomy weather for a devastating day, the chilling wind running through their coats, the dark green grass below them soaking wet from the drops of rain pouring down from the sky, the dirt felt soft as it turned to mud, their cold skins struck by the constant barrage of the breeze, the sun did not show itself at any time, the grey clouds hiding the ball of light somewhere in the sky.
Drops of water continued to pour down not of rain but this time of tears, some felt cheated, some felt ill, some felt like they missed a chance, it was a loss for everyone, the faint rumble of a thunder from the distance caught the attention of a little boy, eyes swollen and can barely speak, an evident tragedy it was for him, he continued to sob.
"It's not fair..."
The small boy said, holding an old watch in his hands so tightly, holding it close to him.
"Why can't everyone just live forever?"
His innocence taking over his words, but sadness was still visible from his eyes.
Grief, such denials, such anger, such bargaining, a surge of depression and yet at the end..acceptance, the difficulty of losing the one you love, more than a heartbreak, it takes your soul away, your happiness, it transforms you.
After the funeral, people began giving condolences, some just left, some continued to mourn, the tears in their faces slowly dried up by the cold wind blowing towards them, the rain continued to pour and so did their tears, but not Blake, he thought it was unnecessary, a waste of time, especially if there was no body to mourn for.

A midget in a truck with a fat man driving pulled over on the side of the road as the car moved down the wide main street of the small town, the grey monotone paint of their sedan contrasting with the brightly colored shops and houses around them, the lights and lamps were turning on as the golden sun went down on the horizon turning the sky into an orange and pink hue, a stench of the dusk blown by the wind slipped in the inch-wide slit of the car window, the store clerk grabbed his broom and swept dusty residues of filth to the pavements on the front of his grocery, Blake woke up as the sound of the horn blared from the driver's seat of their car, his mom seemingly was close to running over a cat running down the road.
"Kitty!"
Tommy said in delight.
"Aww, she ran away.."
"Oh that's fine sweety, plenty more running around here probably"
His mom said proceeding down the road.
The car moved down Main Street, a brightly colored blue store emphasizing itself with its paint job, the huge sign on its front stating..
"Comic Book Store!"
Tommy with wide eyes drew closer to the left window from the back seat.
