A little game of hide and seek gone wrong...

Chapter 3. The Mysterious Boy That Followed Me Home...

W-what is h-he doing h-h-here? He smirked. “Well hello beautiful.”

    I growled. “D-don’t call m-me that.”

    He chuckled. “You can’t make me.”

    I smiled. “O-oh really? Heh… Th-then you o-obviously don’t k-k-know me th-that well.”

    He rolls his eyes. “Not yet I don’t.”

    I tilted my head confused. He smirked and walked over to me. I backed up which made him chuckle. “You don’t have to be afraid of me doll.”

He grabbed my arm. “H-hey! L-l-let me g-go!”

He pulled me over to him. “Heh, you cute when you stutter~”

I looked behind me and saw Zane. I got an idea. “Z-zane!!”

Ben growled and covered my mouth before I could yell his name again. Zane looked over to where the sound came from and saw Ben holding me.

He growled and ran over to me. “Let her go!”

Ben smirked. “Make me Zane.”

Zane punched him in the gut which caused him to fall over and grabbed me before I fell over as well. He hugged me which made me blush. “ You shouldn’t walk home alone, ok? If you want, you could always ask me to walk home with you. How’s that sound?”

I smiled and hugged him. "Y-yeah, o-ok."

He smiled. “Okay, come on then. Let’s get you home.”

I nodded and we started off to my house. We passed my friend Arena’s house. She saw me and ran out of her house pulling me in a hug. “Hey bestie!”

I smiled and hugged her back. “H-hi Arena.”

She looked over at Zane and looked back at me. “How come Zane’s with ya?” She whispered to me.

“W-we’re d-dating.” I whispered back to her.

She squealed and hugged me tightly.

“C-can’t… B-breathe…”

She giggled and let me go. “Sorry Jewels.”

I smiled. “I-it’s fine.”

“So..” She spoke, “Since you're already by my house, wanna come in?”

I smiled. “S-sure.”

“I.. I’m just gon-”

“You can come in too.” She perked up which caused him to smile.

“Thanks.”

“Your welcome.” She replied to him. All three of us walked in her house. Me and Zane looked around in awe since her house was beautiful. She giggled. “What, haven’t seen a house like mine before?” We both shook our heads which made her smile. “Well now ya have.”

“ Th-this is o-one beautiful h-h-house.” I spoke up.

“Aww, thanks.” She replied. Soon after a while, a few more kids came in. She motioned us all to have a seat, so we did. “So, you're all probably wondering why I invited you to my house” We all nodded our heads. “Well, since your all my friends, and new friend, aka Zane, I wanted to invite you guys to a little game of hide and seek-”

“That’s the only reason we were invited here? To play a baby game? If so, I’m out.” A kid chimed in.

“Me too.” another kid agreed.

“You didn’t let me finish. As I said, I wanted to invite you all a little game of hide and seek, but with a twist. None of us will be the seekers, someone else will.”

“B-but who?” I asked.

“A little someone I have met. Now, if you get found, you might have to run from the seeker. Anyway, I will need Zane’s help to get him.” She smiled and looked at Zane who seemed confused. Zane got up and they both headed to a room. I was curious who it was, so I secretly followed with them. I peeked in the room to see them on cleverbot with a creepy music playing. “I don’t think we should summon him.. He can be… err, well… a per-”

“So? He’s not always one ya know.” She cut him off.

“ I mean, yeah but I’m the only boy here and trust me when I say he doesn’t act the same around girls then he does boys.” He seemed concerned. She ignored it and continued to summon someone. After the song was over, I saw someone behind them. It took me awhile to finally realize who is was. Oh no, I thought. Not him.. Not Ben… They turned around and saw him. Zane sighed at the sight of Ben. He looked over at Arena. “You just had to summon the short elf? Not the shy one aka Lost Silver? Or the Faceless one, aka Slender?”

“Yes I had to summon him. If I summoned Sonic.exe, we’d all be dead.” She growled.

“True. I mean, I guess he’s better... “ He still seemed concerned, but she didn’t seem to notice. She looked over at Ben smiling. “So,” Ben spoke, “Why’d ya summon me exactly?”

“To play a little game of hide and seek with us. Your gonna be the seeker, alright?” She smiled as her eyes shimmered.

“With who? Just you two?” He asked.

“Nope, come on, I’ll show you who else is playing.” She smiled and got up. I quickly fled back to my spot without anyone knowing. The three of them came out which made everyone but me gasp at the third person. “Everyone, this is who is gonna be the seeker. His name is-”

“BEN. All caps. People always get it wrong.” He glared at Arena and Zane. Zane took a step back from BEN. “ Anyway.. I suggest we start the game, shall we?” He asked smirking. Arena nodded and we all ran to the back yard. All but me. I ran to the woods near their house knowing how bad this person could be at times. I ran and ran until my legs couldn’t run anymore. I hid behind a tree, but I knew he might find me so I started to climb the tree. I kept climbing until I made it close to the top. I sighed and heard people running from him. P-poor kids, th-they don’t k-k-know what th-they are getting th-thems-selves int-to.. I yawned tired and layed down on the branch. I started to close my eyes until I dozed off sleepily. When I opened my eyes, I was hanging upside down. I giggled knowing I always did that. I went to get up, but my hand slipped and I ended up almost falling. I quickly grabbed the branch hanging on for my life. S-someone, please f-find me.. I thought this was the end. My hands were getting tired of holding on so long. I looked around seeing no one here. I felt my grip loosening up and I gulped. G-goodbye w-world… I felt myself lose my grip and I closed my eyes knowing this would be the last time I ever could talk to anyone. “ZANE!!” I yelled knowing he would hear me, but it was too late. I could hear my neck snap and I was pulled into darkness. Everything around me was black, but I could hear Zane’s voice calling me. “Jewels? Jewels!” Those were the last words I ever heard as I took my last breathe.
