AIKO'S POV
By the time Akira and I finished shopping, we bought a lot of stuff, well, when I say WE I mean I bought a lot of stuff, Akira wasn't too fussed. However, when we got to the castle bridge, Akira stopped for a moment and then she held onto the railing for support when she started wheezing heavily. I put down the shopping and I rushed to her side.
"Onee-chan? what's wrong?"
"I'm OK...I just need a minute...my breathing isn't as strong as it used to be..."
Akira said as she rested her folded arms against the railing and then Masamune showed up.
"Hey ladies, how was the trip?"
"It was all right until Onee-chan..."
I glanced at Akira and she continued to breathe heavily.
AKIRA'S POV
Masamune came over to me and he whispered to me.
"Have you told her?"
"I'm about to do it now...besides if I don't tell her now...she'll probably hate me after I've..."
I didn't want to say it and I was scared just thinking about it too. Masamune understood this and then Aiko asked us.
"What are you two whispering about?"
We looked at her and then Masamune said to Aiko.
"Nothing, Aiko, Akira has got something she needs to tell you and you better prepare yourself."
"Prepare myself? what are you talking about?"
Aiko asked before Masamune takes the shopping into the castle. Aiko looked at me and she asked me.
"OK, spill it, what's going on between you two? you've been acting secretive around me ever since we got to this time period."
I stood upright and I placed my hand on her shoulder.
"Aiko, there's something I need to tell you and to be honest, I should have told you about this a month ago after we came here."
AIKO'S POV
I was confused at first until I remembered our conversation back in Honno-ji.
"It's about your illness, isn't it?"
"It is."
Akira looked sad and heartbroken when she said this. Akira rested her folded arms on the railing and she said to me.
"Aiko, there's no easy way for me to say this, but, my scan results came back with some bad news."
I was shocked when she said this and she continued.
"The doctor told me the scan showed another disease that has developed in my lungs, how much do you know about Pneumonia?"
"Well, it's an infection in your air sacs which can be found in one or both of your lungs...wait, are you telling me you've got TB and Pneumonia?!"
Akira nodded her head and I was shocked by this.
"Then that explains everything, no wonder your coughs and fevers have gotten so bad, how did I not see the symptoms?"
"Well, when it comes to someone like me suffering from TB, it's hard to diagnose."
"I guess that's true, so what else did the doctor say? did he give you any medicine for it."
Akira looked away from me and I noticed that she looked sad.
"I'm afraid he didn't."
"What? why?!"
