Doing homework is possibly one of the most boring things in the universe. Said homework being algebra homework makes that ten times worse. So, needless to say, I wasn't paying attention to the homework. No, I was paying attention to the song playing on my laptop. It was One Direction. I don't think anyone could just not pay attention to One Direction. Their newest song 'History' was really good too, and very relatable.
Of course, my old brother has to decide to walk in the second I start singing along.
"Hey KayKay" Ashton says, then he starts giggling at my singing.
"Shut up Fletcher" I groan. Of course though, with that giggle, I can't stay mad long. It's one of the qualities that makes all the girls 'swoon' apparently. At least, that's what twitter says.
"Shut doesn't go up ADDISON" Ashton smirks. I glare. He brought my middle name into this. Given, I used his first, but that was only because saying his first name was used world wide.
"What do you want?" I sigh as I lay back on my bed. I'm pretty sure as I do so I notice a Renaissance passage for World History go flying to the floor. Oh well.
"Mom is making us go out to dinner. She said their was no getting out of it this time. I tried kiddo." Ashton gives me one of his 'I'm so sorry' looks that gets him out of everything as he says this.
"Fine." I say as I stare at my ceiling.
"Be ready in 30?" Ashton questions.
"whatever Ash."
Ashton walks out of my room quietly. I know I shouldn't have been so mean to him, but quality time with my mother wasn't exactly my idea of a good time. I knew the second he said her name it was going to be a long night.
Crawling off my bed slowly, I knew I needed to be ready to go on time or it would cause more drama then it was worth. I surveyed myself in my mirror and decided I would definitely need a shower. So I took one. When I got out I noticed something laying on my bed. When I picked it up I realized it was a lacy purple shirt. I knew immediately it was a peace offering from Ash. I slid it on, knowing if I didn't Ash would be so hurt. It really was a gorgeous shirt too. It was silky and slid on me like a second skin. It was a little more form fitting than I liked, but it was still pretty. The sleeves were long but they were lacy see through. I paired my black leggings with rips at the knees. Yes, I had leggings without rips but I chose to spite my mother a little bit. For shoes, I knew she would want heels, but I wanted my combat boots with this outfit. Then I spotted them, another one of Ash's many peace offerings. Platform heeled combat boots that would make me like seven inches taller. Score!
I checked my phone and realized I only had like fifteen minutes left so I didn't bother straightening my hair, instead just letting it fall in it's natural light wave. I turned on my music like I always do while doing my makeup and "Guys My Age" by Hey Violet came on. YES. I started mouthing the words along as I put on my concealer and foundation. Next i did my eyebrows, and mascara. I checked my phone when a song I didn't know came on and realized I had like five minutes to get downstairs so I put on a quick layer of lip gloss and ran down the stairs. Well, as fast as I could in my boots.
Normally I wasn't one for dress up or makeup. Only when I was going places with my mother, or being drug to parties.
I looked up and there she stood... with the latest sucker. I think his name was Tony??? Who really cares.
"It took you long enough." She snarled. Then she gave me a once over.
"It didn't even do any good". She said as she turned around.
I didn't say anything as I came down the last couple stairs, just silently followed her with my head down.
