Chapter SIX

Lying in bed, thinking about today with London and Ryan or the last few days, I can't help but smile. I know I have to come up with a plan for my life but it'll come. I don't want to fail, I want to be someone and make a good living. Making new friends here is important, I want to be surrounded by good people. I think Ryan is honest. As for London, I need to find out more about him but I have a good feeling.

My phone vibrates, letting me know of a new text.

Are you still up?

Yes, But I'm in my bed.

Do you want company?

Sure, the door by the pool is unlocked

I don't receive another text but I can hear him entering the house and closing the door.

When I see his face peeking in my room, I  smile.

"Come in."

"Thanks, babe."

Babe? Okay. This is a first.

He takes off his t-shirt and pants and meets me under the covers.

"I wanted to see you." He says yawning.

"You look tired." His eyes were smaller than this afternoon and his hair was a real mess.

"I am. The afternoon was rough." He kisses my forehead before pulling me against him. "Did you have a nice day?"

Now it's my time to yawn. "Work was fine, I've managed to learn how the coffee machines work and Ryan came home with me to hang out after work."

"That's great. Better than my day."

I want to ask him questions but I'm too tired. He covers my stomach with his hands.

"You smell so good." He murmurs in my ear.

"Are you spending the whole night with me?" I want him too.

"Yes unless you don't want me to."

Covering his arm around my waist with mine, I snuggle closer. "Stay. I'm not working before 1 pm." I plan on sleeping in until it's time to go to work. I'm so exhausted.

"Okay. Am I allowed a good night kiss?"

Of course, he is. I turn around to face him. He's handsome, even tired. I brush my thumb against his bottom lip. "Tell me something about you."

London takes a few seconds to think. "I like to sing in the shower." The chuckles coming out of his mouth makes me smile in return.

Our faces are so close, his breathing tickles my skin.

"Sing for me," I say with heavy eyelids.

"You'll have to shower with me, babe."

I'm thankful that the room is dark or he would see me blushing bright red. "One day, maybe."

"Tell me something about you." He returns the question and I should have expected it except I didn't.

I don't know what to say. There's nothing funny I can think of, or cute. London has a way with words or humor, I don't.

"I want to be happy again." It's serious, boring but the truth.

"You will."

I hope so. The thing is I'm not unhappy but I have a huge void in me. I'm alone or it feels this way. The joy I used to have inside of me is gone and I want it back.
