Chapter TEN

"What color are you wearing tonight?"

"All black. You can wear any color you want."

Okay, is this supposed to help me decide?

"Red, silver, gold or black? What do you prefer?"

"Gold."

The gold dress is made of silk. While it's beautiful, simple and delicate, I know underwear is probably not an option. The fabric isn't clingy but it follows my body very closely.

"I'll try it on again, just to be sure."

London is patient and he seems to be having a good time. "No problem. I think it's the one who fits the best."

In the dressing room, I put the dress back on and the assistant comes in to zip me up.

This dress hits at all the right places, I can see why London likes it.

I meet London again outside the dressing room. The grin on his face as he sees me makes it a lot easier for me to decide.

"Ok, this one. I feel great in it and you won't be able to take your eyes away from me."

"I wouldn't even if you were wearing a granny outfit."

Awww, he's adorable.

London had thought of everything. When we got to the store, we already had a selection of dress waiting for us. He called yesterday and they had everything ready for us. I try not to think too much but I'm still asking myself hundreds of questions about him. I try to enjoy the moment and not think.

Loving the gold dress, I decided to take this one and a pair of black heels. The price tags are giving me a headache, I sure as hell can't afford that now. London doesn't seem to mind or care at all. He says it's all for a good cause so I let him pay. It doesn't sit well with me because I'd rather pay for myself but this time, it's too much money.

"Can you have the house and shoes delivered at my place?" London asks as if it was usual for him.

"Absolutely."

He makes the necessary arrangements and then turns to me with his stunning trademark smile. "Are you ready to play tourist? We have time."

I jump into his fit arms, he holds me in place. "I'm ready."

"If this is your reaction to visiting the city with me, I can't wait to see how you react when I ask you to marry me."

"London." I squeal. "That's way too soon."

The sound of his joyful laughter melts my heart. "I'm teasing you." He kisses my lips. "Come on, tourist, we have a lot to do."

We hop into his SUV ready to do a quick tour of LA.

"Let's start by the Hollywood Walk of Fame." He suggests.

"Do we have enough time to take pictures?"

He nods.

Again, I can't stop looking everywhere around us. I've heard so many things about this city that now that I'm here, it's unreal. I'm living a dream.

At the first available spot, London parks the SUV. His baseball hat on, I stole his sunglasses and put them on before he has the chance to.

"Thief." He pretends to be mad but it only lasts a second before a smirk emerges.

Walking on the sidewalk, side by side, I slid my hand into the back pocket of his jeans and he turns his head to look at me, approving. It doesn't take long before his arm finds its place at my waist. Gosh, I love it. It's a simple act but it makes me happy.
