It was a joke.

Pidge kicked an empty lunchables container and sighed.

"It's not fair."

"I know."

Pidge sighed and stared at the raven-haired boy.

"How would you know? It's not like your best friend turned out to be a complete asshole." 

"I mean, you're right..But I did lose Allura."

Pidged gasped and slapped a petite hand over Keith's mouth.

"We don't SPEAK of her."

"Right, sorry."

Pidge had been staying at Keith's house since the first day back from school.

Nobody really cared, since Pidge didn't have actual family anymore.

But to her, Keith was the only family she had, and probably ever will have.

After the fiasco that happened with Lance, Pidge lashed out on her mother, and called her things. 

In the end, Pidge got kicked out for her "bad attitude".

So she's been staying with Keith ever since.

"Oh, by the way, I asked a friend to come over."

"Who?

"Just a friend of mine."

"Do I... Know them?"

"Maybe.." 

Keith awkwardly scratched his head.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang.

"I'll go get it."

Pidge- that's not a good idea-"

It was too late.

The door was opened and a familiar face stood in the doorway.

"Pidge?"

"Lance?"
