Will's POV
I run the facts through my head, as I was always taught in Erudite.
I'm in Abnegation. I have no idea how I got here. I can't see the girl I love anywhere.
I bite my lip and look around frantically, letting the gun slide from my hands as I start walking.
Christina. I have to find her. I have to know she's okay... that she's alive.
I shiver violently, sudden images flashing through my mind. Images of her lying dead, in a pool of her own blood. A thought.of someone pointing a gun at her, pulling the trigger, and her falling. Thoughts that make me feel sick to my stomach with worry.
I finally find her, sitting slumped against the wall. She's clinging onto her side. And there's blood. So much blood.
"Christina...?" my voice breaks as I speak her name, yet I must say it louder than I thought. She reacts slightly, looks over to me and gives me a weak smile.
"Will..." she breathes, wincing, "you're okay...."
I move towards her as quickly as I can, kneeling beside her and pulling her into my arms, holding her, trying to stop her bleeding. Her eyes close as her head falls to rest against my shoulder, her breathing becoming fast and shallow.
"Christina...." I repeat, placing a hand on her cheek to get her attention, "come on Christina, stay with me..."
"I don't think I can..." she forces her eyes open and holds my gaze as well as she can. 'I'm sorry, Will.... I'm so sorry."
"No," I tell her firmly, although I can feel tears burning my eyes and threatening to fall down my cheeks. "I'm not letting you go. I don't wanna lose you," I admit, my voice showing my fear and love for her. She's completely fallen against me now, unable to support herself.
"I love you."
The words come out small and quiet, like she's afraid to say them. As I hear her say it, a sob escapes me, and a tear runs down my cheek, followed by another.
"I love you too."
"Please don't cry," her voice is barely a whisper now, her breaths uneven and weak. She just about manages to reach out and wipe the tears from my cheeks.
"Stay. Please. I love you so much. I need you. You have to stay... please...." it comes out rushed. I'm scared. I'm so scared. I start sobbing harder, my grip on her tightening. "Don't let me lose you. Don't make me lose the most important thing in my life. If you love me... stay."
She gives me her weakest smile yet.
"I'm sorry. I love you."
Then her head falls back against my shoulder. Her body slumps into mine, and her hands fall down beside her with a dull thud.
A/N; Short chapter but ah well... good luck with that cliffhanger...
