The Son Of The Shadows And Sea

Prologue

"Sally! You need to get out of here!" The blonde man pleaded with his lover.

"Steve, I am not leaving my city at times like this!" The woman , Sally Jackson exclaimed, her sea green/blue eyes bright with anger.

"But Sally, think of yourself and Perse,this is dangerous." Steve argued.

"My life as well as my child's was never meant to be safe. You know it better than others." Sally said.

Steve Rogers sighed and pulled his lover into a tight embrace. The one that promised of never letting go.

"But I won't be there to protect you." The super soldier whispered."They have called in the Avengers and I will not be here."

Sally drew out a golden pen with greek engraving on it ." I have this. My Riptide."

Suddenly a boy no older than eight poked his head out of one of the two bedrooms of the apartment, his sea green/blue eyes wide with wonder.

"Whattamatter Dada?"Percy Jackson asked in his innocent childish voice.

Captain beckoned him near and drew himself down to his son's height." Hey buddy,it's nothing. Just some bad guys spoiling daddy's day .He will be back within the week." Rogers told the boy . His boy.

"Can I come with you Dada? Then I will too save the world like you." He asked in a grave voice all the while making hand motions of throwing a shield.

The super soldier got a lump in his throat just by looking at his son. 'We are surviving this. I am not letting go this time .'He thought.

He brought out his old shield  and handed it over to Percy.
He kissed his son's forehead ."You are a hero Perse. Protect your mother . Look out for the little guy. When you'll get as big as Dada ,you're gonna get lot of time to save the world ." Steve said picking his son up. And then with Percy still in his arms , he went over to Sally and kissed her. This kiss was both sweet and sad at the same time . Although neither knew that it was the last time they would ever see each other . Atleast in this life anyway.

"Kill some Chitauri for me." Sally said giving her signature daughter-of-Poseidon grin even over her tears.

'I am going home.'Steve thought, driving his motorcycle at full speed.

Even though the war with Loki and his army was over, he had a stinking feeling at the pit of his stomach.'Everything was alright.' He told himself but this did nothing to ease the ever increasing sense of dread that he felt.

He reached the complex where they lived and immediately knew that something was seriously wrong.

The left wall had been completely demolished. The fountain of that stupid looking wine god in the middle ,at which Sally laughed every time they passed by was in ruins. His heart began to beat like a drum. There was a ringing in his ears as all blood drained from his face. He ran towards his apartment. Ran as he had never before. But what he saw  next left him in pieces forever.

What used to be his house was nothing but just a skeleton of a house. 'No ' was all that came out of his mouth.

     -Behind in time-
A little boy sat near the corpse of a woman, his sea green eyes full of sorrow and his little hand caressing the dead woman's cheek.

"Mommy?" He whispered. "Wake up Mommy."

There was a flash of white light and a man with sea green eyes like that of the little boy appeared. He took in the scene with tear streaked eyes. The woman lying on the floor dead was his daughter. The man was Poseidon. He could not take in the sight of the grieving child anymore. He shot a beam of light towards Percy who felt into a trance like state.

' The kid is gonna start over.' Poseidon thought.
