6:30 amI groaned as I sat up and tossed the medicine ball to Kelly. My arms and core were on fire. We'd been working out for the past hour or so.
"I'm tired, Bey." she whined. I huffed and waited for her to do the sit up and toss the ball back. We did ten more before finally stopping. "Oh my goodness." her chest heaved up and down while she laid on her back with her eyes closed.
"You're so extra." I chuckled.
"No, I'm tired." I helped her off the floor once she caught her breath.
We were the only two in the workout room. Nobody used it in the morning so we used that to our advantage three days out of the week.
"I don't know why I workout with your ass when Coach already work me like a dog." she mumbled as we made our way to the showers.
"Okay, you should be thanking me. Ugly ass."
"You ugly too then." she shrugged.

9:30 am
When I woke up for my first class, I saw that Onika blew my phone up. I facepalmed myself for being so careless. I'd promised her that I was going to text her after my workout but I was exhausted. She basically went smooth off on me. Some of those insults cut me deep *winces in pain*.
Bey❤️: I'm sorry mama 🥺
She left me on read. I shook my head and got out of the bed. All I had to do was brush my teeth and get dressed.
I wore an all black Nike tracksuit and my crisp low top white Air Force Ones. My hair was in a bun that was the perfect amount of messy from my nap.
I threw my backpack over my shoulder and walked out of my room. I nodded at my roommate on my way out.
My anatomy class flew by and so did my math class. I went to the cafe to grab a late lunch. While I was eating my salad, somebody slid in the booth in front of me.
I glanced up and rolled my eyes. This was starting to get very old.
"So you and this girl serious huh?" she asked after several minutes of silence. I simply nodded without looking up from my food.
"Yep, that's my woman."
"Since when you started liking females with kids though? You always told me you wanted to wait until you got married for kids."
"Well that was before I met her." I shrugged my shoulders and licked the dressing from my lips.
"Wow. Well I wasn't ready to let you go and I'm still not."
"I'm sorry you feel that way but Beyoncé Knowles doesn't belong to you. I wish you the best in life though but on some real shit, just leave me alone. Go on with your life and be happy." I got up to throw my trash away.
I went back to my dorm to work on the English paper I had due the following Monday. Even though I only needed at least a 2.0 GPA to keep my athletic scholarship (amongst other requirements), I worked hard off the court to keep my grades high.
I knew that basketball wasn't something I wanted to pursue as a career. I wanted to be a sports physical therapist. I loved playing basketball but I knew that in the long run it could cause problems, so I could channel my love for the sport and others into helping other athletes.
When I made it to my room, I saw all of the Valentine's Day gifts I'd ordered for all of the special women in my life.
I got my Macbook out of my backpack and started working on my paper. Since it was a Thursday, I figured I could complete half and finish the other half Sunday. When writing my essays for English, it always came easy to me so I never had to stress and worry about it.
