<Kieran's POV>

Lukas' eyes widened a fraction of an inch.

Guilty.

I pushed past him and walked into his room, closing the door with my foot. He followed me, scratching his neck and refusing to meet my eyes. Sure enough, his window was wide open and his sheets were a tangled mess. I spied a used condom in his trash can and plopped myself down at the foot of his bed.

"I wasn't --"

I shot Lukas a look.

" -- it was nobody" He relented, changing answers half-ways. My eyes narrowed ready to grill him, until I caught hold of the situation.

Well, shit.

If Lukas didn't want to tell me, I wasn't gonna force him. We were best-fucking friends. Was I gonna throw it all away over one stupid, possibly-butt-ugly, chick?

Fuck no. I wasn't a clingy girlfriend.

"Alright" I responded casually, opening my laptop and leaning against the bed.

He stared at me for a little bit and I scowled.

"Something on my face Schmitt? Get your ass down here and help me with this shitty triangle-math"

Lukas flushed and quickly plopped down next to me, landing a little too close for my liking. Our thighs brushed up against each other. His thighs were warm and he smelled like sex. We went back and forth for a while, him quietly encouraging me every time I finished a math problem. If it wasn't for Lukas, I would be worse off in my classes than I already am. Hell, I would've never been allowed to play ball. My GPA was already dangerously low as it was. My only hope for life beyond high school was a basketball scholarship.

"Hey Kieran, Imma pop into the shower okay?" Lukas stretched and grabbed his towel. I absentmindedly nodded, deciding to focus on the carpet instead. I ran my hands through the shaggy carpet, my focus blurring for a solid five minutes. I went back to math, slowly working through each problem. I knew how to do them now. The only problem was that I didn't want to do them now.

Maybe later.

I packed up my stuff and leaned against Lukas' bed, closing my eyes and trying to count numbers. My mind was faster than my brain, but I had a few tricks to slow it down. Usually, I thought about the math Lukas had taught me. I heard the door open up and saw Lukas step in with a towel wrapped around his waist.

He shuffled into the room shyly and a smirk grew on my face. He saw me and began to flush.

"S-see something you like?" He tried to embarrass me, but I just laughed.

"I still win" I cooed, referring loosely to his stomach. Sure, Lukas was my no means pudgy, but he didn't have a six pack. I did. I win.

"Lay off" He groaned, pulling a shirt on. I rolled my eyes and focused on the carpet again as he pulled on some pants.

"Let's see it then" He crossed his arms and stood in front of me. I raised an eyebrow but quickly flashed him my stomach. He whistled lowly, his ears turning red. I frowned, but he didn't let me question him.

"Nice, man"

"Uh, thanks?"

Never had Lukas and I had an awkward conversation, but this exchange seemed like it was headed for that. Lukas seemed to notice and rubbed the back of his neck uncomfortably. The tension in the room was thick and I found myself picking up my backpack and slinging it over my shoulder.
