A few weeks had passed and finally, Sasuke's Anbu protection detail was removed. Sasuke joined Naruto and Izuna in training, and slowly they grew stronger. They shared all their secrets and told each other everything. Well, almost. It had taken two weeks for Naruto to force himself to open up about Kurama.
Unsurprisingly, Sasuke and Izuna couldn't care less about the fox and Izuna even used her Sharingan to talk to the lazy ball of fluff. That had been an interesting conversation, mostly due to the fact that Izuna teased the hell out of the poor fox. Other than that, they got along pretty well. Izuna was incredibly smart for a three-year-old, learning far faster than anyone ever had. It was like she was just re-learning everything. Naruto had a theory about that but would let it be for now.
In the academy Sasuke acted like a hateful, revenge-driven bastard, ignoring Naruto and brooding. Naruto acted like an obnoxious idiot, always proclaiming that he would become Hokage. Both of the boys had seen the pink-haired girl from the misdirected Shunshin and had wondered if she even remembered them.
They soon found out as Sasuke tripped over the girl one day. She had been sitting on the roof and Sasuke had been arguing with Naruto about how shuriken had better efficiency than kunai and had almost fallen off the roof if he hadn't used chakra to stop his fall.
"Sorry!" He said, cold bastard attitude dropping for a sec. Naruto was busy laughing at him and hadn't seen the pinkette yet. Sasuke paled slightly and nudged Naruto who glanced up through his tears of laughter. His laughter immediately died as he saw the blank-faced pinkette.
"Erm.. I wasn't laughing at you."
"I know. You two are the ones who were in my room."
Naruto chuckled nervously. "Yeah... sorry about that. It was a total accident!"
"I know. I'm guessing you botched a Shunshin."
Naruto raised an eyebrow. "Yeah actually. How'd ya guess?"
"Because I did it a few times while learning it too."
"You know the Shunshin?!" Sasuke asked incredulously.
"Yes. I learned it when I was 6." Her emerald eyes were blank, void of emotion. It actually threw the two off a bit. She was scarily similar to them.
"You're not from Konoha are you?" If she was, the Hokage would have known about this earlier, and as such Naruto would have found her file while he was raiding the archives for information on certain Jutsu.
"No. I'm from Ame. My father was killed and I was found by Konoha shinobi and brought here."
"Ame? I didn't know they had Shinobi anymore. Though 'Tachi-nii said something about it." Sasuke slapped the blond.
"Big mouthed baka!" Naruto shrugged.
"Nah I have a feeling she won't tell anyone about this conversation."
The girl raised an eyebrow. "What if I do?" Her eyes had steel in them and Naruto smirked.
"I think you know what will happen. I don't want to be your enemy. I'm Uzumaki Naruto. This is Uchiha Sasuke. Of course, I think you knew that already."
Her pink hair shifted as she tilted her head. "Sakura. No current surname. You're secret is safe with me."
Sasuke was still surprised by the conversation that had just occurred. He was still getting used to Narutos' smarter side. Before the massacre, Naruto had acted like a total idiot, even around him. Sasuke shook his head and smirked, turning away from the two.
"Class is about to start. We should head back. Sakura-san, Feel free to pop into Training Ground 44 later. We train there."
The bell rang and Naruto grinned grabbing the two and Shunshining just outside the classroom.
"Wow, you didn't botch it." Sakura said dryly.
"Hey! I haven't botched a Shunshin in a hot minute!"
"Hn. What was last week then? I wasn't aware you planned to land us on the thinnest spike on the Fourth's head."
"Shut it teme!"
Sasuke just smirked and sauntered into the class, a cold emotionless expression sliding on like a mask. Sakura raised a brow, impressed. Naruto rolled his eyes and counted to thirty before busting the door open and running in loudly, a shit-eating grin on his whiskered face.
Sakura's other eyebrow shot up. These two... She shook her head and walked in. She was immediately met with the glares of all of Sasuke's fangirls. This was a daily thing. She sighed. She didn't even like the raven and she was still a potential enemy.
Either way, she didn't really care. Konoha wasn't her home.
Naruto clenched his teeth as he was stabbed in the arm. These damn villagers! The blond had to let himself get caught occasionally so that no one got suspicious of the 'idiot'. Every time his pain tolerance was raised, but damn it hurt like hell.
He barely felt the sting of a kunai carving words into his chest anymore.
Punches that fractured his jaw? Nah, it was like someone poked him.
But being stabbed through flesh, muscle, and bone? It hurt. A lot.
He felt a scream leave him as the kunai was pushed all the way through. At that moment he felt an immense rage at the villagers.
He held back an innocent creature that hadn't wanted to attack the village! He was the only thing stopping Kurama from leveling the village! And Kurama wouldn't want to level the damn place if the villagers had left him alone!
They caused this.
It's their fault.
Kurama NO!
Naruto blacked out.
A few seconds later the blond could see fuzzy outlines slowly coming back into focus. There was blood on the ground, but no villagers. Naruto shifted and felt something squelch.
His blue eyes shot to his arm. They slowly moved to where his hand was. Blood made his hand slick, but the blond didn't dare move.
"W-w-what..."
What did I do?
AN// OooOoooh. What could have happened UwU?
