A/N: first poem I wrote. dated back to my sophomore year when i was 15/16

adults praise me
teenagers hate me
no body likes "straightedge"

I see them failing their classes
cold hard proof for the masses
that weed dumbs your brain

ashamed to be against recreational uses
but once we're legal, I'll be calling deuces
I'm an advocate for teenage angst

only open-minded to things I choose
I set myself up to lose
and prove I'm a hypocrite

A/N: my favorite line is I'm an advocate for teenage angst bc it reminds me of Frank iero. this is one of my more self-deprecating "humorous" poems.

I'm definitely more cool with weed now (not that I was against it back then) but I still think you shouldn't smoke it underage but I also understand that it helps anxiety and other things.
