Chapter 3 ~ Skating on Ice

Elsa's POV

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside as the sunlight hit my room, causing the outline of my bed curtains to sparkle. I sat up and the memories of last night came in. The Dream... Forest... Laughter...Inger...Storm... and....Jack. A faint smiled outlined my features of the memory of it and I looked around my room, it had already been cleaned and organized. How I slept through it, I have no idea. I got out from under the covers and put my feet to the floor. Rising up my maid, Ingrid, came in and she spoke to me. (A/N, it's Norwegian and the translation will be at the bottom :) "God morgin din høyhet"

"God morgin Irene" I replied smiling

"Hvordan har du det?" She asked

"Det hår bra, Takk." She nodded as I answered and I smiled at her, she helped get me ready for the day and I walked out of my room. My dress was a lavender color that skimmed the floor and it was embroidered with swirls on the hem and some embroidery on the waistline. I walked to the dining room and found Anna at the table there with Kristoff. 

"Good Morning Elsa!" My sister greeted happily and I smiled at her as I sat down at the head.

"Good Morning Anna, Kristoff." I replied to both of them and then Agnes came out and served us our breakfast. "I trust that you both slept well." I asked, as I thanked Agnes with a nod and she walked back out.

"Very well, thank you." Kristoff replied and nodded her head with a smile but cast me a knowing look, but I looked down at the document in front of me. Someone tapped my shoulder and I turned around to see Kai standing there.

"Pardon my interruption Miss, but a letter from Corona has arrived." He explained and I nodded as I took the letter. I opened it up and scanned it and a smile turned on my face. 

"Well, this is some most exciting news, Anna, Punzie and Eugene are going to be visiting us within a week's time." I said to my sister after I closed the letter back.

"Rapunzel and Eugene? Yes! I will am very excited to hear that Elsa, I can't wait to hear what adventures they have to tell this time." She said smiling and I let out a small chuckle, nodding my head in agreement. I finished some papers and my breakfast and stood up, Anna and Kristoff were going cake shopping, while I had to stay cooped up inside, working on boring documents. My thoughts wandered around my mind as I walked to my office, sitting down in my chair I let out a small sigh at my most treasured memory of my family and I.

A tear escaped my eye and I wiped it away as I went to start the work's day. I focused my concentration on a pile of documents that had to be signed and a knock broke my concentration. I slightly jumped and turned, the knock didn't come from the door, but behind me. I found the culprit floating outside the window. He knocked again and waved to me to let him in. I sighed and walked over, opening it up. 

"Well hello there Queen Elsa, how are you on this fine Fall day?" I raised an eyebrow at Jack's actions, he was in a sitting position upside down looking at me expectantly.

"Good morning Jack, and I am doing just fine, thank you" I answered with a bit of annoyance. He chuckled instead and returned to a normal position.

"Ah, come on, lighten up, today is a day known as Thanksgiving!" I sighed and nodded.

"Exactly my point, I have much work to do, the annual Thanksgiving Ball is tomorrow and I have that to finish preparing and then I have some letters to go through from different countries, most of them marriage proposals, then I still have quite a few documents to finish singing and writing, I have to much work to do. Thanks to you I forgot that I had a very important letter that I was supposed to write and I'm sorry Jack, but I just do not have time." I finished with a sigh and was about to close it but Jack flew in quickly. I fumed a bit as I shut the window and sat back down on my chair.
