Today's the day. The day where I take my belongings and move into a small, cramped dorm room. At least it isn't raining. It'll make the ride and move in more tolerable. Don't get me wrong, I am excited to be on my own and meet new people. But I'm also scared. I'm moving to a new town that I've never been to before, with people I have never met. My best friend Liam also chose to come to college here. I guess I'll stick with him until I get the hang of things around campus.
After we got all my stuff in the cars, we started the two hour journey to my new home. I spent part of the ride playing candy crush before I decided to text Liam.
To Liam: hey mate. have u left home yet?
From Liam: no. still finishing packing.
That was typical Liam. He was smart, but tended to put things off until the last possible minute. I would be surprised if he managed to remember everything he needs.
Getting out of the car and stretching my stiff muscles was a great feeling, I must have fallen asleep after Texting Liam. I started to take in my surroundings. There's so many people here. I guess I have to just focus on getting my things up to third floor and hoping I can get along with my roommate. After hauling a few things up the steps, I realized my roommate was already unpacked. He looked up from moving his bed side table, and I was met with the most beautiful ocean blue eyes I have ever seen. "Hi I'm Niall".
