CHAPTER V
It wasn't much later when was being escorted out of the white tent. The sun seemed to be setting. My body, clad in a dress of the same color. As the skirt of the dressed flowed across my thighs, I looked at the place I turned up in. The common theme of white surrounded me. The men and women wore white cloths shielded with silver armor.
Tents upon tents of white sheets were set up all around me. The clattering in the air suddenly indulged me as the crowd stopped and started my way. The feeling was foreign after so long of no one being able to see me, the gazes were strong. No one except...
"Don't mind them," Shila said, leading the way, "They're just happy to know you're back on your feet,"
I blinked as I stared at the ground, fixated on the ground to avoid the direct stares. "Who are they?" I asked, "What is this place? Why am I here? Wha-"
Shila chuckled, "I was waiting for your outburst of questions. You lasted longer than I expected,"
I gaped at her back, our feet not stopping.
"I think it's best for the Goddess herself to explain," she paused, "she has a way with words."
"The Goddess?" I voiced, "The Moon Goddess? Why would I be called upon by her highness?"
Was this initiation for the afterlife. To be honest, I looked forward to seeing my parents.
"Well, I hope that's the only Goddess in your life," she mused, "else, she won't be happy to hear of it,"
Soon enough, Shila announced our arrival. Through a curtain of vines she parted, she signaled for me to go first. I went through and into an area fully surrounded by trees, the only openings were through the makeshift door and the sky view. The sky seemed to be darkening, the night was near.
In the middle, stood a white stone table. I could hear the soft current of water flowing nearby. The place looked sacred.
But no Goddess.
I turned back to Shila, to be met with the drawn curtain. Shila was gone. I swished my head back towards the table. A gasp leaving me as a took in the epitome of beauty.
The woman had soft fair skin, a glow radiated off of it. Long legs wrapped in a silk white skirt that parted towards her left thigh, her feet bare. Her petite waist, bare between the two pieces that embraced her body. Her top hugged her curvaceous bosom, a shoulder cut off crop top with intricate golden lace designs littering it, the sleeves of lace wrapped like vine down her arms. Her black hair, the only dark color around her, laying effortlessly against her shoulders. A flower crown laid on her head, with fresh green vines and white flowers. Her eyes were a peculiar shade of green, that of dark evergreen leaves, her plump lips in a shade of natural tea rose pink. Her nose wasn't big nor small, just the perfect size. Everything about her was perfect. Her body, her face. Oh, Goddess!
"Lynnette," she smiled, patting the spot next to her on the stone table, "Come here,"
Mouth still gaped, I instinctively followed her command, my eyes never leaving her being.
She giggled at my speechlessness, a harmonious sound to any ears in this universe. "I don't bite, I swear!"
"You're t-the - the Moon Goddess," I gasped out, finally regaining my voice.
Her sweet giggle ranged through the air once more, as she brought a hand up to brush my hair, "That I am,"
At that moment all my strengths broke down as I did. I threw my arms around her waist as I began sobbing into her enveloping arms. She rubbed my back with one hand, the other still brushing my brown hair as she whispered words of comfort in my ear.
I couldn't get ahold of myself. This was it. I was dead. I was here to greet the Goddess and finally meet my parents. And everything that was left undone, would be left as it was.
My sweet little brother. All I could hope was he would soon heal and move forward; he would do great things in life.
My pack. Did we deserve this? Were our sins catching up to us? Was this the Goddess will?
My mate. Easton. I had trusted him. I had looked for him. I would never get the chance to even begin thinking of forgiving him. Nor mating or having pups.
It was all over.
"It's okay sweet child," she whispered in my ear, "everything will be okay,"
My tears finally came to a stop, my eyes throbbed from the crying. Sniffling, I moved back to look at the beauty in front of me. Her blue eyes stared back at me.
"Everything will be okay?
"Yes, dear. It's not over for you yet."

She sat there contemplating her next move,
She kept on thinking back to that moon.
The one she'd seen back when she was young,
The only one that hadn't left her behind.
The betrayal and all the hurt,
She knew better than anyone how much it burned.
She knew she had messed up,
They'd paid long enough.
It was time to set her demons free,
A second chance for sinful beings.
