Chapter 21

I woke up naked in bed… usually that was a bad thing but when I woke up today I knew I was naked in bed with Luke, the person I loved so much it hurt. I rolled over and looked at Luke who was still fast asleep. I got up and threw on some clothes; I made myself a bowl of cereal then went to the tv room to met by Michael and Ashton.

“Morning guys.” I said sitting down across from them.

“I would have forgotten you were here if you didn’t keep me up by your moaning.” Ashton said dryly.

“We weren’t that loud.” I said taking a bite of my cereal.

“How was it?” I looked up at Ashton and laughed.

“I don’t know why I never dated him earlier. It was nothing like I’ve ever experienced in my life. There was eye contact and it was slow and meaningful and I got lost in him.” I put my bowl down and pulled my knees into my chest. “I am so in love with him it’s crazy.”

“I don’t know why but I’m not grossed out over the fact that two of my best friends had sex with each other…” Michael said. “My heart feels all fluttery… I think I ship Lailey.”

“I hate that ship name… but I guess Haike is worse.” We all laughed.

“I’m really happy for you though Hails. You seem so much happier.” I smiled at Michael.

“We’ll just see how I am next month.” May 17 was the anniversary of my father’s death; it was almost four years since he passed. I was always a mess on that day, hiding myself in my room and not eating. “But we will cross that bridge when we get there, for now I am going to wake up my adorable boyfriend who is naked in my bed.” I smiled and got up going back to my room. “Lukey.” I nudged his arm a little causing him to flutter his eyes open.

“Good morning sexy.” God, his voice was so raspy from just waking up. “Why aren’t you naked?” he ran his arm up my arm.

“I’ve been up for a while, I already ate breakfast.”

“I like it better when you’re naked.” He whispered. I smiled at him and got up from the bed and walked over to my suitcase where I was hiding the lingerie Lucy bought me; I pulled it out hung it in front of my body.

“You wouldn’t prefer me in this?” I asked. His eyes widened and he sat up.

“Where the hell did you get that?”

“Lucy bought it for me. As a present.”

“Lucy just became my favourite person ever. Put it on.”

“Nope. This is for a special occasion.” I winked and set it down in my suitcase again.

“You my love; are such a tease.” I crawled onto the bed and kissed Luke.

“Say it again.” I whispered against his lips.
