{Scott's POV}

I can't believe what Mitch had done. We haven't heard news yet but I already knew the answer to a question on everybody's mind. Had Mitch made it? No.

I sat in the waiting room with Kirstie, Avi, and Kevin. Jeremy had came earlier to be there for Kirstie. They've been dating for a couple months now. I was happy for them, but also jealous.

"Grassi?"

"Yes?" Mitch's mom and dad stood.

The nurse took them over to a corner. I knew it. Tears began to flow out of my eyes uncontrollably.

Mitch's parents returned over to us. Mitch's mom came over to me.

"Scott?"

I looked up at her. She wasn't crying...

"Is he okay?"

"Yes," she said with a chuckle, "he's just fine."

"Why did she take you over to the corner then?"

"To make the conversation private. I dont know. But Mitch is fine, honey."

"What did the nurse say?"

"Mitch is asleep. They're putting him on antidepressants even though he doesn't think he's depressed because he clearly is. Uh, he will leave tomorrow, with you. If you want to stay, you can. But he can't have any visitors in his room."

"Alright." I was disappointed that he couldn't have visitors. I wanted to see him.

{Mitch's POV}

I woke up in the same damn place I did earlier. I want out of here. A nurse came in.

"Mitch? Ah, you're awake."

"Yeah."

"How're you feeling?"

"Fine."

"Really?"

"No."

"I see. Lying: Check. I'm just kidding." She smiled a lot. It bothered me. She was clearly a happy person. What was her secret?

After Crystal left, I ran over the things that happened earlier. Then I remembered what Scott said to me before I passed out. He loved me. I didn't know if he meant LOVE LOVE, or love as in best friend love. I had to ask him.

--------------

I pulled the nurse alert cord. Crystal came in.

"What's wrong Mitch?" She asked slipping in the door.

"I want a visitor. My friend, Scott."

"Oh I'm sorry. You can't have visitors anymore. I'm sorry. But you can see him tomorrow when he takes you home."

"Is this supposed to make me feel better?" I asked sincerely. "Seriously. You're not making me feel better, you're making me feel worse. I want to see Scott."

"You can't." She then left. What a bitch.
