Chapter 4

Gabe suddenly woke up in the middle of the night. Then he realised that it was just a dream, hopefully. He was still holding Clem with his hands, but Clem woke up also:
"What is it? Are you okay Gabe?"
"Yeah Clem, it s nothing. I just had a nightmare, that's all." - i said.
"If you want to, you can tell me about it in the morning. Okay?"
"Okay. I ll do. Anyway, goodnight Clem."
"Goodnight Gabe."

~Time skip to the morning ~

~Clem's POV~

I was the first one to wake up, as always, then i noticed that I m still in Gabe's arms. I carefully removed myself from his hug while blushing a bit, then i walked out of the room carefully, so i won't make either of them wake up. I successfully exited the room, then walked down on the staircase to the living room. I found Kate and Javi already awake.
"Good morning guys." - i said surprised a bit.
"Good morning Clem." - they said.
"Why are you up so early?"
"Oh, it's nothing. We just kinda got used to getting up early in the past few years."
"I ll make breakfast for you. Do you like cereals Clem?" Kate asked.
-"Yes I do. It's one of my favorite meals Kate." - i said happily.
While Kate was making breakfast, i sat down next to Javi.
"So how did you sleep?" - he asked me with a smirk.
"What do you mean?" - i asked nervously.
"You slept in Gabe's arms. You like him don't you? - He asked smirking even more now.
" No no no no no i don't. I only like him as a friend, nothing more. "- i said embarrassed.
" Only as a friend? "- he continued asking me.
" Can you keep secrets Javi?" - i asked still blushing a bit.
"Of course i can Clem. What do you want to say?" - he asked, but honestly, i think he already knew what i was about to say.
"To tell you the truth, since I met Gabe a few years ago at that junkyard i didn't really like him. He was just a moodswinging teenage boy who was mean to everybody. Then when we played our first game of euchre, i ve changed my mind. Since then i know that he has a good heart and can even risk his life for his loved ones. For example when we were at that helicopter rotor, he offered to try if it's safe, not me, he risked his life for me. I can always talk to him if i have some problems, i mean i can literally talk about everything with him, he s just so kind and caring with me all the time. To be honest, i think He makes me feel like a kid again. And yeah, to answer your question, i think i like him more than a friend. Don't tell what i told you now to anybody, maybe except Kate, but other than her, nobody else. Do you promise? - i asked him.
"Of course i won't Clem. You can trust me." - he said as I felt really relieved.
But little did i know that up from the staircase, Gabe was already awake and was listening to my conversation with Javi about him.

~Gabe's POV~

I woke up and soon realized that i don't have Clem in my arms anymore. So i just decided to rest for a few more minutes, than i got up and silently left the room so I won't wake up AJ.
As i was walking down the staircase i suddenly stop because i heard Clem saying my name while talking to Javi. I crouched down and started to eavesdrop on them, and what i heard made me happier than i ever was in my whole life. Clem told Javi that she likes me as more than a friend, she wants to be my girlfriend!!! I almost jumped up in happiness, but i couldn't because if Clem finds out that i heard their full conversation about me, That could ruin our whole friendship.
So i just got back to my room, waited five minutes and only then walked down to them.. "Good morning guys"
"Good morning Gabe" they all said.
"Is AJ awake?" - Clem asked me
"No he's not. He s still sleeping." i answered.
"Breakfast is done." We heard Kate saying, so we got up and walked to the table to eat our cereals. After we ate our cereals. All of us started getting ready for a supply run.
