She went straight to her bathroom to clean up. Bukod sa namdidiri sya sa pawis na dumapo sa muka nya, nanlalagkit din pakiramdam nya dahil sa dump at humid sa loob ng gym kanina.

She feel refreshed matapos maligo. She's drying her hair with a towel at kinuha nya ang laptop sa study table. Before she could type in the password, tumunog ang cellphone nya Meera's face appeared on the screen. She waited for another ring before answering the call.

"Bes..." apologetic na boses ang bumungad sa kanya sa kabilang linya.

"Sorry..." Sabay nilang bigkas.
"Accepted and forgiven..." muli nilang sabay na bigkas.
"Bes, hinanahap ka nga pala ni Xavier." pag iiba nya ng usapan.

"Bakit naman ako hahanapin ng herodes na yun? And for sure, he doesn't even know my name kahit na magkasama kami sa halos lahat ng Organization sa school. Classmate ko rin sya sa isang subject last sem, pero puro 'Hey' lang naman ang bati noon sa akin." sagot ko habang naglalaptop.

"Actually he knows your name. He said he wants to talk to you about what happened. Nagulat lang din daw sya nung sumigaw ka begging for-"

"I did what?! Where did he get delusional claim?! Napaka yabang talaga. I wonder where he invested his ego becuase its stake is growing exponentially fast!"

"Whoah! Hold your horses down. I explained to him already about the incident."

"Thank you..."

Walang sagot sa kabilang linya.
"You are oddly quiet, I can almost hear a 'but' coming."
"He wants to apologize for what he did, so he asked me to tell you that you will have lunch tomorrow."

"It doesn't sound like an invitation. Tell him I'm not interested. I am busy. I accepted his apology, there is no need for that sort of gesture."

I don't want to be the talk of the town. She values her personal space. I don't want people prying on her. Knowing Xavier and his enormous fan. Kulang na lang pati pag utot at pagdighay nya pagusapan.

"I'm surprise and I don't know which to react first. The fact that you took a bath after my sweaty shirt touched your face or the idea that you refused my invitation."

It was a man's voice on the other line.

"Bes, don't tell me that you put me on loud speaker...and please, please don't tell me that Xavier heard our whole convo." I am almost breathless dahil sa kahihiyan. Could her embarrassment be piling up like this in just one day of encounter with that boy!

"Yes and yes" her response sounds rather giddy than sorry.

"Can we speak privately."

"Yes, sure my lady." It was Xavier's playful voice. I can imagine his face na halos nakasampay sa tenga ang ngiti.

"Not you! I was referring to Meera!"

"Oh feisty! I like that!"
"Please do shut up, Ramirez!"

There were suppressed laughter at the other line.

"Please don't tell me that the whole team is listening right now?"

"Yeah, they heard you alright."

"Darn it! I dug myself so deep. And it's your fault!"

"yeah, yeah, yeah. Ok. we're alone now."

"Finally! What were you thinking?!"

"I already told him that you won't accept the invitation. So he asked me to call you to confirm it. He asked me to put you on loudspeaker so he'd hear what you'll say."

"You should have told me." Nagtatampo sya. Kakaayos lang nila at eto may tampuhan na naman sila.

"I started apologizing, so i kinda lost that part."
"Ok. Forgiven."
"another thing...He's asking for your digits."

"Don't you even dare!" I warned her.

I heard her sigh.

"know what. Whether I give it to him right now, he has his ways in getting it sooner. why you feel so disgusted about him. Considering his features na hindi naman nalalayo kay Xymon."

"Wala yun sa features. Nasa mentality yun Bes. May sasabihin ka pa ba? Maytatapusin pa sana ko sa entry ko sa vlog."

"Wala naman na Bes. Sige, you go back to your vlogging na."

"K. Bye..."

I ended the call. Dumapa ako sa bed and started editing my last video. I vlog about topics that interest me. But mostly DIYs and some motivational thoughts. I uploaded the video and rested a bit. I readied my things for tomorrow. I put my things in another bag that I guess is more fitting for my outfit tomorrow. I took a one last look at my planner and prepared myself a dinner.

This has been the longest day of my life, ever.
