Hinilot hilot ko muna ang sintido ko bago ko isara ang laptop ko. I have been working at the firm for two weeks na, well not all through out the week but only during weekends dahil may pasok pa ko sa school at inaayos ko pa ang application ko sa SOA.

Weeks passed in a blur.

My first day sa firm was a welcome party. Nandoon din naman ang buong vlog team
to document my first day. They make some introductions. Kung sino-sino ang kakausapin ko tungkol sa trabaho, ang flow and order of business, and finally my own office. They had my name on the door. After that, hindi ko na alam ang nangyari. Even the food that I ate, hindi ko na matandaan kung nasunod ko ba yung schedule ko. Ate Melba wasn't here to serve the right food.

Even sa school hindi ko na alam ang nangyayari. I just let Meera and Xavier drag me to the activities. I sighed. This is so unbecoming of me.

Sinandal ko ang ulo ko sa swivel chair look up at the ceiling and look around the office. My mga konting file sa lamesa ko. sa bandang kanan ay may dalawang divider ng pantry at pwesto ng secretary na kasalukuyang nagpapass ng approved documents.
Maghapon lang ako s opisina pero pagod na pagod na ang katawan ko at lalo na ang isipan ko.

I was still at the midst of my contemplation when my phone rang. It's Kuya.

I leaned forward towards my table and reach my phone.

"Hi, Kuya..." walang gana kong sagot.
"Hello. Mukang pagod na pagod ka na agad ah. It's only only 10am."
"This is something new to me. I didn't know that this could be really exhausting. I no longer have much time shooting for my vlog because I need to review all the designs. And-" I was cut off before I could break into tears
"Hey, hey...Don't be too hard on yourself. Your only job is to approve the designs. You don't have to revise them, right? Loosen up a little bit. C'mon, this is why I called. We'll go somewhere and let off some steam."

"Where..."

"It's a surprise. I already called Xymon to let you off the hook."

"You can do that?"

"I did that. C'mon...Ma-mimiss mo din ako when you left for your SOA."

Napasilay ang konting ngiti sa labi ko. This is just some of the moments when I enjoyed being the youngest. My siblings have their different ways of spoiling me.

"You wish...K. I'm gonna get my things na then just tell where to meet you."

"Just get yourself down here. Ate doesn't want to get up there. We're already waiting down here."
I collected my things and leave some instructions to Sittie, my secretary. Wala naman pala ako masyadong gagawin today dahil na ayos na namin ang unang batch ng designs that I requested to make some revisions.
While I'm at the elevator, I dialed Xavier's number. He'd enjoy this activity if he'd join us. I'm sure kasama ni Kuya si Meera.

"Hey" he greeted me.

"Hey! We're having some spontaneous activity today. I thought you'd wanna join?"

"Spontaneous and you at the same idea is really surprising. What kind of activity?"

"I don't know yet, but it think it's exciting."

"You really are surprising me today."

Bumukas na ang elevator at nakita ko na sila Ate at Kuya. Kinawayan ko sila.

"What?" Natatawang sabi ko.

Bumeso ako at ate at ganun na rin kay Meera at kay Kuya na kasalukuyang nagtetxt.

"You don't know the plan but you feel excited. That's a headline coming from you."

"Why? I had a very busy weeks. Thanks to you. So, are you coming?"

Kinalabit ako ni Meera and she showed me may passport.
Kumunot ang nuo ko habang hinihintau ang sagot ni Xavier.

"As much as I wanted to, I can't. I had planned this weekend for quiet some time. I need to attend to this."

"Could this day be so odd. The Prince of spontaneity planned something ahead of time and am I hearing being engaged in some matters that need attending. But fine. I won't push. Have a nice day, big monkey." Although he's the reason of my exhausting previous weeks. I learned to accept that he has nothing to do with my decision. They asked for my help and I obliged. So we're now at the stage of being at ease of annoying each other.

"Haha. You enjoy too! See you soon. Bye!"

I hung up and looked at them and found out that the three of them had been eyeing me.

"What?"

"Nakangiti ka na naka ngisi ka pa. Sino kausap mo?" Meera voiced out the question.

"It was Xavier. I thought he'd join us."

"Xavier, huh?!" Ate even lowered her glasses so I could see her mischievous look.

Napa iling na lang ako. Ayokong patulan pangtitikis nila sakin.

"So, why are you waving my passport?"

"We're going to Singapore!" Taas kamay pa nyang sabi. I looked around and behold, all eyes on us.

Hinamps ko si Meera ng mahina. "Huy, ano ka ba. Don't be too loud."

"It's ok...Ms. Minchin." Ate tap my shoulders.

I frowned at her. Why always feel like I'm the odd one.

"We are going to Singapore? Now?" Hinila na nila ako papunta sa sasakyan. Kuya opened the front seat for Meera. Ate went on the leftside, I opened the other side and I was surprised by a big wide smile that welcomed me.

Napaturo na lang ako sa kanya dahil wala akong macompose na salita. Sinarado nya pa ang bibig ko sa sobrang pagka gulat ko.

"Just get it. I'm just so happy that you are finally getting yourself involve in some spontaneous activity."

Hinila na nya ako papasok dahil wala talaga ako masabi. I looked at him dumbfounded. Yes. Xavier is right here next to me. And I don't know but his presence on this unplanned trip makes my heart feel more complete. I guess jumping into unknown usually makes that to the heart.

"I said you're busy..."it was almost a whisper that I had to say it again.

"I am. I had been busy on how to bait you into this. Well, I run onto the perfect people. They know exactly how to draw you out of your shell. You're coming along." He explained as he tap Kuya's shoulder and he started driving to the airport.

"How long we'd be there?"

"Now is not the time for you to worry, babe. Kuya Xymon is already at the airport waiting for us. Don't worry about how long or what we'd do, where'd stay. I planned this as soon as you agreed to the offer."

"You- planned...?"

He just let out a hearty laugh. "Who would have thought, right?" He looked at me with a smile then with a sincere stare . I look straight to his eyes. "I guess we both draw each other from our zones of comfort. We both are coming along from our shell."

I never seen him this serious before it made me hold my breath to keep this moment in my head. I startled when he put his hand over mine. "Thank you..." he said. I asked him with my eyes.  "For coming close to my life and make all the pieces back to its place."

I really couldn't tell how my heart made a somersault.

And he wasn't satisfied with his words. And never knew that my heart could be so loud like this when he pulled me for a quick embrace.

This is so surreal I couldn't even breathe.
