Chapter 14
As the night had became silent, I just stared at Lucas in shock. Did he just ask me out? Did Lucas Maclin, just ask me, Evelyn Tomlinson to be his girlfriend? I must be dreaming. Not only is he super attractive, but incredibly sweet. Needless to say, he was way out of my league. So why would he want to go out with me?
“Lucas I-” I cut myself off, still caught off guard by the sudden question.
“Look, it’s fine. I get it, I do. You’re just not interested. Why would you be? Your sweet, caring, and hilarious. Why would someone like you ever want to date someone like me? ” He shrugged, causing my heart to break into a million little pieces.
“Wait, what? No! That’s not at all what I meant! Lucas, of course I’ll be your girlfriend! Lucas, I don’t think you realize the things you’ve done to me since the day I laid eyes on you. You literally had me going crazy! Honestly, I thought I never stood a chance. I’m nothing special after all. At least that’s what everyone else says. Everyone knows Tommy’s the better twin…” I trailed off, looking at the ground. Suddenly, I felt myself wondering why.
Why out of every girl, would Lucas want me? Was this all some kind of prank? Was I just some pitty case? Or worse, maybe just some simple fling? What am I saying? Lucas clearly loves me or he wouldn’t have gone this far to ask me out. Come on Evelyn, get a grip. Stop overthinking everything!
“Evelyn, you know you're beautiful right? Because you are. You might not see it, but I do. Not only are you beautiful, but your sweet, caring, amazing, and kind hearted. Anyone would be lucky to be with you. Lucky for me, I have you all to myself.” Smiling at his sweet little message, I felt myself start to lean in. Our lips connected, beginning a warm passionate kiss.
The kiss was just as magical as the first, maybe even a little better. Not only were there sparks, but his lips were so warm and inviting. It was as if they were made just for me. Honestly, I never wanted it to end. If only it never had to.
Jealyn’s p.o.v (Haven’t done one of these in awhile)
After watching Evelyn run out the door, I couldn’t help but sigh. My babies were growing up. It feels like just yesterday Louis and I were just bringing them home. Gosh, we were such horrible parents back then. Neither of us knew what we were doing! But, eventually we figured it out. Well, sort off. Look, our kids are healthy and that’s all that matters! I’m only seventeen. What did you expect from me?
Sighing, I made my way towards the door. Grabbing my shoes, I decided to take a walk to clear my head. Not only that, but to just take a look back at what my life has become. To just take a step back and see just how crazy my life had become.
“Louis! I’m going for a walk! I’ll be back later!” I called, before walking out the door not even bothering to wait for a response. I’ll probably get a lecture for it later, but I honestly don’t care. I’ve been kidnapped for fifteen years now, I think I can go on a walk by myself.
Continuing down the street, I notice the beautiful city of London come closer and closer into view. Honestly, I loved the sight of London at night. It’s a sight I’ll never get over. Not that I’ve seen much of it. Louis and Liam are too uptight and sensitive to let me out. According to them, ‘I’m still kidnapped, anything can happen if I’m unsupervised.’ In other words, they don’t trust me not to do something stupid. Geez, you break three shop mannequins and you get framed for life! How stupid is that?
Shaking off those thoughts, I continued down the beautiful streets of London. That is, until I noticed something. A small, frail looking girl. Now I know what you're thinking. It’s just a girl, it’s pretty normal to see girls walking around London. Well, this girl had absolutely no one with her. She was just sitting there, all alone, on a bus bench, shivering violently to herself. Immediately, I could feel my heart begin to break.
Making my way over to the girl, I have her a light smile. Taking off my jacket, I wrapped it around her small frail body. Immediately, she looked up at me with her big beautiful blue eyes. Immediately, I knew I was in love.
“Hi sweetheart, what’s your name?” I asked, getting a spectacle look from her. As if she didn’t know what to think of me. As if deciding in her mind whether not to trust me enough.
“Gracie,” She finally answered, after staring at me for what felt like hours. I just gave her a comforting smile.
“Hi Gracie, I’m Jealyn. Do you want to tell me why you're out here all by yourself? Where’s your mommy and daddy?”I questioned, getting a sad look from her.
“I don’t know where my mommy and daddy are. They left me here three days ago,” she explained, getting a wide eyed look from me.
“Your parents left you here? In the freezing cold with nothing!?!” I shrieked, scaring the poor girl slightly. She just simply nodded her head.
“You must be freezing by now! Tell you what, how about I bring you home with me? Would you like that?” I asked, getting an eager nod from her.
“Great, come on lets go.” With that, I grabbed her hand before leading her down the street. The only problem now, what was Louis going to think?

A/N So um, not the best chapter. I apologies for that, but I did write this at like 2 a.m. My writing quality isn't exactly the best at 2 a.m....Bare with me here though! It was the only time I would have been able to finish this chapter! Anyways, so what did you guys think of the character add? How do you think Louis' going to react? On top of that, EVELYN SAID YES!
